It has been really eye opening over the past year how many women also abuse children. It’s not like I thought it never happened. But I had no idea how often. It’s heartbreaking and infuriating.

As a young woman who will be having a family soon, I am seriously considering home schooling. I can’t imagine putting my trust in these strangers. This isn’t just a one time rare offense. These cases keep popping up and it’s absolutely sick. We are a child’s first line of defense. How is this happening? Why aren’t the schools monitoring this stuff?? I pray for my young sister and my future children.

Idk how these people don’t feel badly about messing up these teenagers and children for life. This 16 year old will have a hard time with relationships forever now. How does that guilt not eat you up inside?

Nothing new this has been going on forever and lots of it, there just wasn't the internet back in the day to get the info out. And there wasn't a channel on youtube obsessed with it.

There was a history teacher in my high school that was in his mid 20s and all the girls thought he was the "hot" teacher. I watched girls shamelessly flirt with him and he always laughed it off and redirected back to the class discussion. I was a TA in his class and he was always a teacher that I looked up to since he really cared about his job and he made the class fun with his teaching tactics. A few years ago, he sent me a friend request on FB. I accepted and he sent me a message on messenger asking about my life since high school. But after a few messages, he started getting flirty and asked if I wanted to meet up to hang out and go out to dinner. I was really taken aback. Yes, I am in my early 30s now but I will always look at him as my teacher and a parental figure. There was zero speculation about him being inappropriate with girls during his teaching years but even as the years passed and we connected as now BOTH adults, I still envision myself as that 16 year old girl who was in his class and looked up to him. I never once considered that he thought that student/teacher relationship would ever be morw than that in the future. TBH, I was extremely disappointed that he crossed that line a few years back by asking me out. It made me feel let down and icky even though he didn't technically anything illegal.
