I agree with you….my anxiety has been through the roof this school year….I come home daily completely drained mentally and physically. Thank you for sharing!

Ugh I’m so sorry girl :( it’s so tough. All I want to do when I get home is sleep. So glad it’s almost summer! You’re welcome! Thanks for watching😊

Hi, thank you for sharing your journey. I started teaching back in 2004 and started anxiety meds in 2007. Teaching is where I'm meant to be and how I can give back but the stress is unreal and people just don't talk about our mental health. I'm glad you have a great team and like everyone says, it does get better!

Hi. I’m happy you have a support system. I also have anxiety and although it ebbs and flows for me- it can really be devastating if you don’t have a network of people built in to make you feel supported. I would count audio as reading a book. I get the “you’re not READING it” take but that’s semantics. To me anyhow. When all is finished, you’ve read the book version. It’s not like the audio version is any different. Take care. See you next time! 🙏🏻💜

Great video! I completely understand where you’re coming from. I’ve been dealing with the same things. I’m glad you got help and have a great support system. We truly couldn’t do it without our tribe ❤ Thanks for opening up and sharing your experience with us. It definitely helps us, especially those of us in the education field.

I'm moving to 4th grade after teaching 3rd and below for the last 6 years. Do you have any advice for teaching 4th grade writing? I've heard it can be a lot, at times Or even any 4th grade writing resource recommendations?

Teaching writing was definitely tough. I would say be very clear and specific in your expectations and always model what you want students to do and provide them a checklist or rubric for assignments. Also peer editing is super helpful. We didn’t use a writing curriculum :/
