There's been a lot of question about the 'proper' crew for Solo Armadas.... Quick answer? There isn't one.... There are crews for loot, for punching up, and even THOSE depend on the ships you have available. What is ONE particular combination that works for many? Let's take a look at one such powerhouse for punching up!

They weren’t all available when this video was made, but I’ve had the best luck with Chakotay/Seven/Doctor with Hemmer blow deck to boost Doctor’s mitigation.

Possibly a dumb question, but I’m here to learn. Why not just use Bev as captain on your Defiant? She regenerates shield. Then you have 2 additional very valuable officer slots (GG/Ash come to mind especially if one of your ship abilities uses burning).

Bev regenerates shields each round, whereas Eurydice regenerates them on the weapon shot the shield is depleted. Since these targets fire once per weapon, but have multiple weapons, Eurydice is going to ensure shields remain up if you get her chance up to 100% with boosts. Bev as captain, however, leaves open the possibility of taking a shot from the armada without shields up.

@@barkman1739 Which ship is targeted is determined by RNG, so it's quite possible. Anecdotally, I've had this happen quite a bit.

@@petey5358 right, but how often the Defiant gets hit twice in one round is an easy math problem. If the armada fires 2 shots on average per round, one in three rounds the same ship gets hit twice. Being that there are 3 ships, one in three times THAT happens, it happens to the defiant. So for a 1 in 9 round occurrence, I’m not that worried about it given I still have max mitigation from Bev and get to use 2 more officers. Now, if it averages 10 shots per round, that’s a different story….

I've been hitting the 47 rares since I was at 43. Ktinga (T4+Ceritos boost): Sisco, Miles, Tyler - Tyler is maxed and you're prioritizing attack Ent (Maxed): Kirk, Lorca, Georgiou - you might as well throw all the lower decks on the Ent, it's just there for the buffs Defiant (T2): 5of11, 6of11, Khan (health prioritized) - just there for the loot It all revolves around Tyler. If I cram 50k attack on the ship, I add +50k each round. For contrast, Riker+Bev would add +18k per round. Compound that with Miles doubling or tripling the number of shots fired and each shot getting more likely to be a crit. It also gives you additional ways to increase damage, by upgrading officers or doing officer stat research/favors/syndicate.

very specific set of ships - many people do not have a defiant and, as you say, not everyone is using an Enterprise. I don't, so unfortunately, this video isn't very useful for me. Two months down the line when Defiant comes it might be, but right now it would have been more helpful to see something more accessible / generic

I use the same crews with one exception. Picard bev miles on the defiant, miles is rank 5 and Picard makes his proc 100%. And the defiant can do unreasonable amounts of damage.

At level 35 I have found if I use the loot crew that Rev has posted on his latest video at best I can only earn 5 edicts per solo armada. I have tried punching up and that has not worked out to well for me. It takes me roughly 3-4 days to earn enough (?) to purchase 1 Defiant BP from the faction store and at this rate it may be sometime a year from now that I will have enough BP's to build the ship. Have you heard anything about changes being made for players at my level to assist us in obtaining the Defiant or are we just totally screwed for the time being?

Using Lorca on a ship with Sisko is wrong in my opinion (and testing), Gorkon is a way better choice. Gorkons Hull Breach uptime is mostly 100% for me where Lorca isn't near at. My crew setup is: 56K on Newton (20m) - Sisko Miles Gorkon on Kelvin (17m) and Geordi Beverly Kirk on Enterprise (9m) and i can hit Rare 51 without any buffs/exos/cloaks.

Gorkon activates 90% of the time after you hit a crit.. My lorca activates at the beginning of the round 70% of the time for 2 rds.. Lorca is far superior even if you only have him at 60% but ok..

@@mattwhitely1067 90% per critical hit for 3 rounds. I have multiple crits even in round one + Sisko's 4% more CC each round. And i made test with both and analysed the battlelogs. Gorkon is way superior for me.

First two ships I’m solid on for myself. It’s the third bc I don’t have a defiant. T7ish Kelvin, max Ent, max Augur. Ops 47 with almost level locked armada research. Any crew recommendations for the Augur?

What crew are you already using on the ent and kelvin? Sounds like your augur could function like my Jelly, as a support ship. Ent: sisko miles kirk, Aug: 56k, jelly: bev lorca georgio

Have you considered, thin mudd, pike (c), eurydice with a max tier boimler for mitigation below deck? The damage scaling from thin mudd is incredible - can always cerritos boost as well to improve mitigation from the 130% boimler gives

Use bev as captain with Skinny Mudd.. Far better shield regen..

@@mattwhitely1067 Neither are regenerating enough shield to withstand more than one hit from the armada, but the difference is that Pike+Eurydice regen shield every time it's depleted. Bev does not.

@@mattwhitely1067 Correct, and if you need that mitigation, then you should run Bev-Picard(captain)-Eurydice. If you don't, then Mudd-Pike(captain)-Eurydice(rank5) will give you incredible damage as well as sustain. The key point is: if you have Eury and are able to proc her every time your shield depletes, you don't need Bev's shield regen. Eury does a better job because she can proc *per hit*, whereas Bev only procs at the start of each round.

Help, Why Lorca v. Gorkon? Lorca max = 80% for 2 rounds, Gorkon max = 90% for 3 rounds. Seems like a no brainer, but Lorca is always the guy.

Yea, i use Gorkon on my Kelvin with Sisko and Miles. 100% Hull Breach uptime.

Reason one is lorca procs at beginning of the round, reason two is gorkon only works when you hit with a crit the opponent.

no i show my face. BUT i did use the cat for years BEFORE showing my face. some people like it. my produced shorts will probably always have the cat. but i do use my face on other longer forms of content like twitch.
