Great truck, My servo did the same thing. AMain is great. The rep did a full search on his end but could only find the D115F that was available to them. I was able to find the D135F, which is an all metal upgrade from the stock servo. I ordered it and it should be here tomorrow. AMain did send me a replacement D115F, but im not going to install it. I'll give you an update once I've had a chance to beat the crap out of the metal one.

I’m willing to bet if you change the fluid on that center dif to something lighter the motor won’t get so hot running in in the grass is what does that on them center differentials they need lighter fluid to rotate faster

For the hbx2105a i think all you need is to swap for the 16889a pro shocks (unless the stock shocks can hold oil). And if you can, could you try the 1/16 traxxas summit tires on it? As for this mt14, i love it just bc of the size and speed, ill get me one if they go on sale by black friday, but man for around $70-90 dollar less and no center differential, the 16889a pro still the best choice in my book, it can even take the abuse of your bigger ramps for longer bash sessions. Im excited to see the 2105a video. I received mine the other day, but i had no chance to play with it so i just compared it, the difference is just millimeters and beefier lower arms, and maybe better esc.

I looked at this for a while being a huge fan of our MT10 and even our MT8 but for the price it was just a little too much. We'll just stick to our HBX 12th scales. Also I really don't like those Associated Electronics transmitters. Unnecessarily large, difficult one handed driving and I tend to have to set the trigger end points often. I've swapped most mine out.

I’ve been following this truck since it’s come out! Seems small for a 1/14, maybe more like a 1/16 to me. I absolutely love though! Probably had a bad servo from the get go. Thanks man, I've been waiting on your take on this car before I decided on getting one or not. I think I'm going to spend the extra and get the mt10. Between your review and a few others I'm not seeing much difference in quality between this car and the similarly sized Hyper Go and HBX trucks\buggies at half the price. Maybe when this one eventually goes on clearance or they come out with a real v2 for it with sealed diffs I might look at it again.

Happy new year Evan! I just saw this car. How does this thing handle compared to Haiboxing ? Man I haven’t had good luck with them. Purchased two… first couldn’t drive straight and second would just drive off when my daughter turned it on. Scary.

Couldn’t decide between this and the Arrma granite grom so I’ve ended up with both and not disappointed with either there both great little trucks 🛻

Forgive me if you've already did it but I would like to see you run a Redcat Tornado EPX Pro like this! Wanna know how it handles it. Hard to find bashing vids for one to know if it can handle it...

Great review, just wish you had stopped and reset that pinion soon as it started clicking, but I know you like to beat on them as is to test their durability. I think the tires, center diff and lack of 3s are main features that kept it planeted but it also looks wider and lower like a Kraton. Would be interesting to see the ground clearance/width vs the 1/16 Hyper Go.

I fried a servo when one of my lights broke and it did the same thing. That was on a Redcat. Classic Team Associated breakage the plastic spur 😆

Question. Have you been having thermal throttling on the mt14? Mine has been having this issue about a month into owning it.

That esc on its side stuffed in there with 30% of the radiator blocked from airflow is asking for trouble. They could have make a bridhe over the chassis and have it sit on top, kinda in the cab if it'd fit. But props for battery tray in a small car. Although i keep wonder if too small battery tray in hbx cars, save them from being overloaded and suffering more crash damage due to bigger weight, or funny stability if people would try to put fatter 3s inside them, and then complain the car tips over too easily.

I had the same problem, for some reason they do not mesh them correctly! Try the other spur that came with it. It'll do 36mph!! Instead of 30.

Hey thanks! I have 3 16889A Pro's (2 for the kids and 1 for the big kid) I'm going to give these tires a try. I did not see specs on the size but at the end they look just a little taller than the ones on the 16890.

Always check and tighten all screws and check motor etc when buying a new Vehicle. Doesn’t mean that the RC is absolutely 100% RTR! I have found many mistakes on a lot of different brands! Been into RC scene since 1984! ✌🏼💫😎

This was a very far review. The car is a little rocket ship and you can tell it handles better than the HBX or MJX competitors, but the durability/quality control needs a little work. Probably not a big deal, but for those getting into the hobby it might be a turn off. If I was one of the big brand RC manufacturers I would want my entry level cars to be the best value, handling, and durable cars the company makes. The first step has to be a positive one. I think Team Associated will get the pinion and gear mesh quickly dialed. The servo seems a smidge more difficult to root cause, but also likely a fairly simple process control fix. You should send the servo back to them so they can figure that out as well. This car will be a beast once fully dialed in for what seems like some nuanced but important manufacturing variability or (less likely) needed bending stiffness in small but very localized areas.

I’ve had the Team Ass Reflex 14b since about 2019 and its maybe my all time favorite mini. I love the same motor mesh/mount set up. Of course I don’t send the buggy but its bad ass.

Ok now that I am on the lookout for the perfect back yard (small back yard) basher this truck led me to this video and now your channel. Gladly subbed, top notch content brother. Keep doing you and what you do. Really enjoy it. Now on the RC note… was looking at the Teton… yes I’m a fanboy… but having brushless out of the box and serious durability… hard to pass up. I've had the truggy version of this platform for about a year.. same exact thing happened to me. But since mine was 2nd hand I had to replace that piss poor servo myself. And it was like 24 bucks! I've looked for a better one with the same spline because the s.s. is pretty good and I'd like to keep it, but if it breaks again I'll just have to find a metal geared servo and use a horn. Good luck man.

I've seen my hbx 16889a pro outperform this on a concrete skatepark 3s balls to the wall. That being said, I'll still be buying it- the mt10 must have it's lil brother! Fantastic video as always‼️👍👍🦾🦾
