I'm sure you're gonna love it. I love my Avenge. Just got it fixed up after driving into a stump on accident going full speed with no break in 25° degree cold. Broke bumper, lower skid, chassis and gear box. Thankfully I was able to get gear box off AE. I was impressed it didn't disintegrate lol. Great addition Razor!
CVDs and blue aluminum shock bodies would have set this truck off nicely. Still think i'm gonna go with the granite or big rock though. I was thinking about getting the granite and putting the new wider big rock arms and links on and get the typhon 3s front and rear bumper assemblys typhon 3s wing and wing mount and some low profile 2.8 duratrax ST tires and make a nice little 10th scale basher truggy project!
Quick question, I just got this truck and it’s having steering issues. I aligned the tires perfectly with gauges camber/toe and it tends to steer in both directions sometimes. The steering also has a dead spot and gets stuck?
Im just getting back into the hobby and a old school TA fan. I like this truck and the price point. Thinking about getting it and being you said it was made by another company at one time is there metal parts to replace some of that plastics like the rear driveshafts. new metal shocks etc?
Was great till stk servo smoked in it. Reedy 13mg 1320mg is what they put in from factory. Going to send in for warranty, but ordering up a futuba or hi-tech. Thing goes pretty good on 2s though. The radio is cheap also. Front wheels needed alignment out of the box. Engine gear mesh was off. Lots of loss screws. Guess I got a late Friday afternoon one.
@@RazorRC Lol good I wasn't the only one! Seems to always happen to me too! I usually adjust camber and toe right out the box cause they seem to just get them in range...Most of the time lol
Chris Watson heh, I just spent about an hour fixing all of the little things that were wrong out of the box. I haven’t even ran it yet! Nothing major, just my OCD kicking in.
@@RazorRC Haha I know you're thorough! You're legit Razor!! I'm about to take mine out after the breakages I fixed. I put a blx100 esc and upped the stock pinion (12t) to 15t so anxious to see how its gonna be! Should be alot more power going from 60a to the 100a 😁👊🍻 now I can run into that stump again doing 60! Lol
Nice. I hope you pick up the redcat KAIJU too. Hehe. I would love to see what you think. I have one already and was able to break the outdrive diff cup in the front. Bad luck from my part most likely.
couldn't make it past :30 man, gotta nix or at least turn down the folk music. Im really interested to see what you have to say for the review! It's been a whiiiiiiiiiile since AE did a basher, im curious if it's up to the modern standards..
The truck is definitely alot more quality than a banggood special. It's built really nice. I see why they charged 379$ originally for the helion avenge.
@@TheEgb18c Honestly when you see it in person you would notice it. It just seems really well built and looks like quality plastics and beefy. Its extremely easy to work on with the truck breaking down in 3 sections. Also it has sway bars and drives and handles great. Honestly I own this truck and the 3s granite blx and I lean more towards liking the helion better! It's a really nice truck. I'm actually selling my granite and keeping my helion lol. And my granite has like 150-200$ in hop ups lol.
@@cwatson42785 It was the original price that kept it from selling. Priced to close to a Stampede 4x4 VXL. I never owned a Stampede 4x4 but think in the end the Helion was a better value and buy just needed to be priced lower. At $299 I believe they would have sold a lot more than they would've become more known. If they sold the brushed version (10MT XB) at $219.99 it's definitely a better buy then an Arrma Mega 4x4. They also had the short course version the Avenge 10SC XLR which I would hope TA would take that one on as well but understand they already have the SC10.
Nice, I guess plastics these days are still gaining traction in D durability department. Personally I like solid chunky a arms Lake the pro line after market I arms for some of the tracks a stuff. I have modified a few sets of those a arms to fit on various vehicles and have had great outcomes
