Communicating with fans is not hard at all. They could say literally anything. Even revelling some gameplay footage once a while would help. Game should be in final stage of development so there wouldnt be any problem with that. TC said that they would inform us when game will be close to being finnished, and this is the worst part. It looks like there is no end to creating this game.
I never understood this argument that I keep seeing pop up again and again that communicating is this seemingly insurmountable thing if you're a small indie dev. If the game was shaping up to be way bigger than they originally expected and they wanted to really grind away at developing the game with absolutely minimal communication, that's something they should have said as early as possible, also noting that it'd be extremely unlikely that they'd be at any showcases for at least the next few years. That way, when they do finally say or show something, it would draw way more hype than usual. Because there would be no real expectation in that case, as opposed to the current constant crumb-chasing game of cat and mouse.
I hate to be that guy to burst this bubble too but. I looked at several Kickstarter pages Hollowknight's, Undertale's, Yoloola laylee's, Bloodstained ritual of the Night's, Friday Night Funkin's, Shovel Knight's most all of them have recentl log ins from their creators. Looking through the Wayback Machine on older captures of those pages you can see from the date of capture that the last log was also a few days before the capture. So it must be an automatic upkeep thing Kickstarter does sadly it means nothing since the pattern is so consistent among most finished campaigns I have looked at
I never was that hype about silksong and not as involved in the community, from an outsider's perspective team Cherry's silence is unacceptable. Just becouse other developers dont speak to their fans doesn't mean it makes it okay. Taking 10 minutes to say silksong wont be shown in showcases isnt going to affect development time at all. Communication is a key part when having such a big audience and I don't think people release how important that actually is.
It’s only the first third of June and already 2 Kickstarter logins. I think, they may keep quiet, get backer info over a few months or less, and then make an announcement, possibly on their own
my feelings were a little hurt team cherry didn’t warn us before the xbox showcase, not bc they’re obligated to but bc it would’ve been considerate to do that for us. i think my cope strategy from here on out is just to wait for that random drop out of absolutely nowhere :/ this up and down every time a showcase or event happens used to be fun, but i feel the sting now much more than i used to
Nintendo Direct wasn't the first place Silksong was revealed, it was TC Twitter and RU-vid. Doubt they gonna give news at any third party presentations, more likely from TC sourses, Twitter or YouToube, like Leth said
Remeber that one day they say silksong will be release in the same windows as crowsworn, so if silksong or crowsworn is release, we will have both game. Pure speculation, imagine a bundle with the two game
I don't think Silksong have a Kickstarter page. They only have HK Kickstarter page. Silksong was meant to be a dlc for HK where we can use Hornet as a playable character.
Hmmm I think Nintendo would definitely be the MOST niche (although still popular) - as when you think about Xbox has: Cloud/PC/Console - Mainline Franchise Games - Ownership of Major Studios Nintendo is: Hardware Exclusive (more niche), Mainly First Party Games/Less Mainline AAA Games/Indies
u would think but views on last nintendo direct live are wayyyyy higher then xbox or playstations showcases from that time. the family element can reach alot more people ultimately.
