Liu TingTing and QiQi are still in the race and I'm rooting hard for them. I will never understand the Shang hype but hey to each its own. But she's not going anyways.
@@kate74808 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EZImqAX_lTs.html This is one of the reasons why. She performed like this almost every time she mounted the beam.
That's true, he's phenomenal and knows what is needed to win so I hope he'll make the right decision picking his team. But to be fair he's just blessed with very talented gymnasts this quad.
I absolutely HATE this 4 people rule! Especially this year when China has so many lovely gymnasts that I would love to watch! I know the world would fall in love with Guan ChenChen with her beam and fun floor routine. Liu Ting Ting has a phenomenal floor routine (my favorite of the Chinese) and I would love to see a healthy QiQi rock her floor as well with her difficulty **sigh** I can't believe the most consistent Chinese gymnast is the one whose gymnastics I enjoy the least. Why couldn't she peak last year or sth I would be happy for her. If there were still 5 people allowed my dream fantasy team would be: Liu TingTing, Ou Yushan, QiQi, Li Shijia, Tang Xijing and special spot Guan ChenChen and Fan Yilin. I actually wish there were still 6 people teams so GCC could be on the main team as well **cries** This 4 gymnasts rule has to be *abolished* PERIODDt !
Wow this is mostly accurate! Sadly Li Shijia hurt her knees just before the second internal exam...she could have been a real asset! The official team is Tang Xijing + Lu Yufei + Ou Yushan + Zhang Jin, with specialists Fan Yilin and Guan Chenchen
I wouldn't count LTT and WXY out, but is really hard to predict the Chinese team. Either way, this is also my team prediction! The beam rotation is gonna be 🔥
Idk why but I don’t see Lu Yufei making the team. I know she was the star of this year’s Nationals, but I don’t think they would send her over more experienced gymnastics like Liu Tingting, specifically with her world records. And also if Qi Qi regains her 2020 form, I think they will send her, because she helps a lot both on vault and floor, the weakest events for China. I was counting Li Shijia out but after this Nationals I think she secured her spot, specially now that she has a great bars routine. Totally agree with the specialists, just the team for me that is still a mistery.
If Lu Yufei actually gets the DTT she will go for sure, she can medal in the AA at the Olympics with that kind of program. Besides that she is still stronger than Tingting on bars and floor so Tingting would really need to be quite a bit ahead on beam to stand a chance.
If she gets the DTY and the Silivas back she would probably be on the team instead of Tang Xijing. Because she adds more on floor than TXJ adds on bars/beam. OYS can go on bars and LYF on beam for good scores. She can also make vault and floor finals while Tang Xijing will probably be 2-per-countried out of all event finals.
Same! I want QiQi on the team so bad. Her floor and vault can be a massive contribution to the team score. I think she still has a chance because she consciously held back in the Nationals to pace herself for the upcoming months! I want her to make it.
@@kate74808 if qi qi replace tang xijing, iam so afraid with their beam. Ou yushan didnt show concistency. Iam just concern about that. Even if Qi Qi gain back on her 2020 level, it wont be enough/wort it IMO. taking her on on the team, that mean china have huge possibility to fail at the beam which is their key event.Qi Qi need her amanar to be on the team.
I think after nationals Li Shijia and Lu Yufei are locks (especially if LYF can get the tsuk 2/1 vault) TXJ or OYS spot is vulnerable to QQ restoring VT and floor. ZJ and LTT also have small chance of making the team. Then the second individual spot is between TXJ, OYS, LTT, QQ + GCC, WXY
I wouldn’t be surprised if the second spot goes to Liu Tingting or Wei Xiaoyuan instead. I know Wei had two falls here on beam but historically they are more consistent on beam than GCC even if their d-score is only 6.6-6.8 instead of 7.1
What happened to Liu Tingting these past couple of months? She was in contention for the team and was the one to beat! Literally won the national champion just a couple of months ago.
She doesn’t have a DTY. She is very comparable with Tang Xijing on the non-vault events but without the DTY, and with Ou Yushan already likely taking the “I don’t vault” spot, she needs the vault to be a threat for the team. There were rumors her current injury comes from trying to add the DTY However if Guan Chenchen continues struggling in the internal tests while Tingting is able to restore her beam routine she has a good chance of going as the second individual. Her main opponents there (assuming Ou Yushan makes the team) besides GCC are Qi Qi and Wei Xiaoyuan and she has the best medal record of all of them for sure
If LTT gets back to 2020 shape they’ll take her over LYF, unfortunately LYF just doesn’t have the same resume as LTT. If Qi Qi gets back DTY/Rudi i’m guessing they’ll push out GCC and put Shijia as specialst since she only helps the team on beam and can do AA as a specialist. Honestly i just want TXJ, LTT, and OYS on the team no matter what.
@@yukhonlammichelle8179 I prefer TingTing over Yufei in every way but it is true that Yufei currently seems healthier and is capable of greater difficulty. While TingTing competed hard this quad (past 4 years), Yufei was relatively obscure. She is now reaching her strength at the right time. TingTing seems like her body is burnt out unfortunately :/ I'm rooting so hard for TingTing, I love her beam, bars AND especially floor. Even though she has relatively "low difficulty", she is such a natural performer and has great presence. I just love watching her. Yufei is so blah to me
@@reginashabootiwui5778 Yes it is the HITTING EVERYTHING is the problem now isn't it? I can see her posting a 15 -15.5 routine on her best day realistically and OUTSIDE of a CHINESE competition. Judging in the quals have been in some cases atrocious.
Exactly one gymnast has scored higher than 14.65 on beam in the last four years at the world championships, Simone scored a 15.066 in 2019 during beam finals doing arguably the best beam routine of her life. NO, I DONT THINK THAT A FREAKING 15.5 SHOULD BE THE LOW END OF SCORING FOR A HIT ROUTINE FOR OYS AT THE OLYMPICS.
I think if Guan Chenchen continues struggling in the upcoming trials Tingting has a good chance of going in the specialist spot. She has a better chance of medaling in Tokyo than Wei Xiaoyuan or Qi Qi and she is the team captain.
Literally all 4 chinese girl can do team final. They are well balanced. I hope ou yushan will be great at olympic fter disappointed aa at chinese trial
@@zhangshinyi I know.. well maybe not a team member, but she could be a specialist🤷🏾♀️ But the entire Chinese team is so inconsistent, so I don't even know if it's better to go with their very best and hope everyone hits or go with the most consistent ones.
Zinzoline I totally agree. I feel China will be doing themselves and injustice by not carrying someone who has not just proven she can win but win against BILES. She has the experience and despite her meltdown in the Team comp at Worlds was able to come back and redeem herself. I am all for exposing new talent but I think the success of the US has among other things has been mixing seasoned gymnast with fairly inexperienced ones. I think China will be losing out too if Oi Oi is not on the team. She can help them on vault and floor two places I think China perennially lacks.
My team would be Liu Ting Ting, Tang Xijing, Li Shija and QiQi. They have the experience and the skills to ENSURE China Medals in the TEAM competition. Their individuals can make bars and beam finals possibly vault and could certainly medal AT LEAST on beam and bars. Any other team would be a case of China being like the proverbial dog with the bone in his mouth but trying to get the bone from the dog in the river.
this is the same team as i predicted. but, for individual spot, i would take qi qi instead of guan chen chen if Qi qi get back to last year level.but, if she can get at least amanar +rudi, i will take her as a team member. all member of the team have great beam and potential to medal(gold: shijia/ou yusham, silver/bronze: tang xijing/lu yufei). it is only depend on who hit the routine in qualification.
Mahmudin, I think as I said in another video it all depends on what China priorities are. If they want to ensure a Team medal then for me Qi Qi got to be on the team. I would take Tang Xijing, Li Shija and either Ou Yushan/Liu Ting Ting. Liu Ting Ting I really like because she bested Simone on beam 2018 and pushed her hard for the gold in 2019. I like a team that has the experience of competing against the best in the World and doing well. The team did not take a medal in 2019 but that experience should only make them stronger not weaker.
@@leizhang8423 The US women with the top scoring potential, with the exception of Simone, are all inconsistent. Which is why there is a case to be made for bringing 1 or 2 lower scoring gymnasts who are consistent. They'll probably go for gymnasts who can help with the event medal count though, since they seem confident in Team and AA.
OYS fell 5 times in 9 routines. In order to be in Team China, she needs to show consistency in the following trials. Otherwise, I’m rooting for Zhang Jing who got 2nd place in the Nationals.
I’m not mad about the individual’s they’ve chosen, but I’m really bother by China institutions on making them a power house. They take these girls at a young age to train and at least level up there scoring point. I know China has always produced great athletes in gymnastics but at least upgrade there difficulties to match other girls from different countries. I’ve always love to see China, Romania, and Russia perform with elegance and grace. I don’t mean this in a disrespectful manner. Just love how team China looks more elegant in movements and performance. Looking forward to Tokyo good luck ladies.
I really don’t understand why everyone has OYS on their team. Lovely gymnastics I’m sure, and high difficulty, but she has shown that she is still recovering from injury and is SO inconsistent in her year as a senior. ZJ is a much better pick if she upgrades, which is possible. I think there’s too much hype about OYS for now... and China needs to HIT to even place 3rd, let alone try and exceed the Americans and Russians in EF. My team for now is LYF, LSJ, TXJ and either GCC/ZJ/QQ. Perhaps the specialist spot could go to OYS.
do you think that russia will ahead of china if they both hit? are you sure about that? why so many people take ou yushan as a team member is because her speciality is not only on beam, but on floor and bar. her floor is the best compared to other chinese athlete even she just stick with her curent routine. her bar is good and she didnt show her full upgrade yet. Lu yufei can replace her on beam in the team final if ou yushan still strugling with consistency on beam.
Vee Vee I feel the same as you except I want LTT, LSJ, TSJ and QQ on my team. I will take Ou Yushan ONLY if she can show mass improvement CONSISTENCY wise over LTT and give LTT the specialist spot. LTT has PROVEN she can compete and WIN against the best in the world. Ou Yushan has shown a lot of promise SOMETIMES and has created great hype but I fear that has only put pressure on her not allowing her to really be as consistent as she could be.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 I love what LTT brings to the table but honestly I don’t see where her skill set fits... and I think it would be criminal to leave a healthy LYF behind considering she won Nationals, FX and also the 1st internal test event. She has proven herself time and time again.... TXJ is reliable and consistent. LSJ has a huge beam set just like OYS and hits more frequently than her. QQ definitely can boost their Team Score if she is back at 2019 level. I’m genuinely torn about GCC. She seems more mentally tough than OYS but her bars can get scary!
@@MahmudinMahmudin I think the chances of Russia hitting is higher than the Chinese team, unfortunately. They also have a trusted veteran (Melnikova) at its helm who fits in the team, unlike LTT, sadly. I love OYS’ gymnastics and was rooting for her SO hard after I saw PT, but she really disappointed. Falling on 5/9 events is an extremely high fail rate so close to the Olympics. I think with experience she could be a force to reckon with, but for now we are merely speaking in hypotheticals. Her potential is HUGE. but her reality is still not matching up, and plus the fact she’s recovering from an injury... it’s a shame as she’s such a talent.
@@veevee411 i wouldnt use ou yushan if she cant have concistency on the beam. Iam sorry, but all russian team have issue with her beam. The only problem that russian have is their beam.they just get low 14 when they hit while china can still get high 13 when they fall. I will just used ou yushan's floor and univen bars. I know that she fall on EF, but historicly that is the only fall from 2019 until now.
china women gymnastics team.. Everyone must get 15marks for every single routine... Chinese gymnasts specialize in Uneven bars and Beams events... Please do the best
ou yushan is quite consistent on floor and univen bars. her floor is better than qiqi. she wasn't showing her full ub in the last national. so, with this team, lu yufei can replace her at the team final.
Honestly, I think that Ou Yushan don't go, she wrong to much in the last competition. Her note D is insane but usually is inconsistent. Maybe she will be able to go whit individual Pass, so if she wrong, she not going to ruin team results and if she will do well, she can win a gold medal in the beam
since asian championships were cancelled, the spots went to the next two gymnasts from asian countries at worlds, which were milka ghani from sri lanka and pranati nayak from india
Fan has already secured her Olympic spot as it is earned by her and this spot can’t be given to anyone else. The other spot belongs to the Chinese federation to decide who gets to take the other individual spot
When are they going to pick the TEAM??? I think China is going to have the same level of difficulty as the US to pick this 4 member team. I think this is the WORSE time EVER that they introduced this 4 person rule. Thank God it will be over and hopefully never seen again.
China released the names of their team a few days ago. The team consists of Tang Xijing (captain), Ou Yushan, Lu Yufei, and Zhang Jin. Fan Yilin and Guan Chenchen are the event specialists.
@@Kpoper4life Yes but I really wanted Liu Ting Ting, Li Shijah as well as Oi Oi on that team along with Tang Xijing, Oh well, one could only hope this very young and largely inexperience team would perform without the pressure of previous ones and do well.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 I am a bit surprised that li shijia didn't make the team. I thought they would pick her over ou yu shan, especially since she performed super well at nationals and has more experience then oys.
