Just an entire Netflix show of the Thor Ragnarok cast screwing around on Earth, directed by Taika Waititi and given free reign to do whatever the hell he wants
I'm obsessed with the idea of the Grandmaster shamelessly flirting with some woman he's never met over the phone, then abruptly informing her that her son has been melted and immediately hanging up.
The reason for Darryl's continued canonicity in MCU despite the broken continuity between the "Team Thor" shorts and Thor: Ragnarok feature film is that the man himself transcends multiple universes and timelines Not even he knows how powerful he is.
Taikia Waititi (director of Thor Ragnarok) brought so much of the charm from his other film "What We Do In The Shadows" to this series. Funny roomate interactions with supernatural forces.
Only the MCU could entertain us like this between films. I seriously love this universe more and more with every piece of content, no matter how small, no matter if it's canon or not.... it's just the best.
*Spoilers: Avengers Infinity War* Darryl hosts Thanos on Earth. We discover that the titan enjoys being bathed with exotic salts and Darryl gives the best bath time massages. Darryl is then saved from the culling Thanos commits on Earth and the next film is just Darryl assuming the responsibility of the dead Avengers by saving the world.
Can we just get a movie that's the avengers dicking around the tower, pre age of ultron? Directed by Taika in this documentary "what we do in the shadows" stlye, please Kevin F.?!
- You know who else is in LA? Team Darryl feat. the Runaways confirmed! - Ironic that Jeff Goldblum made a video announcing his conquest of Earth, given his role in ID4. - Ideally, the Grandmaster played Korg keyboards. - Darryl, I suppose that anyone else is a better housemate than the Grandmaster. - And good for him, he has a girlfriend.
Just saw this today. Kinda deep for a funny skit because when he said “I miss my old house mate” you see a fundamental difference in Thor (a hero) and a villain with no conscience. This was a good way of making ppl appreciate Thor a bit more. Him breaking a connect 4 is nothing compared to someone melting (killing) a human being for a minor offense.
They need to continue this series with more episodes of Darryl with the grandmaster. Then have Darryl become roommates with Hela, then roommates with Loki, and then roommates with the Collector. That’s a Netflix series I would watch.
3:50 ~ So apparently being rude and interrupting (Loki) is forgivable, but not knowing the difference between a Zimbledorf and a Zedz is a Melting Offense. ;< Thanks for uploading this, CyanMist. :)
Daryl is basically Stu mark 2 lol. Anyone who's seen Taika's What we do in the Shadows will see the similarities. Totally recommend the mocumentary, had a a blast with it and I totally see Stu in the Daryl character lol. And more Goldblum being Goldblum, pure gold, excuse the pun :)
