Poor SVB two times in two different racks he couldn't get it. But especially that first one where the 9 rattled is such a shame. He also seemed super nervous when taking the shots
I don’t think he was nervous. SVB has played in Mosconi before at least 17x. He knows the atmosphere especially when they are playing in Europe. He’s an excellent player but after he missed that 9ball on the first rack, it just went downhill from there for him. It didn’t set a good start for US.
Because this is a team play, so he had to turn on his hearing aid, imagine you are so used to with the silence when playing pool for long long time and suddenly you have to deal with all the noise in there. Struggling
Shane needs to switch to his 12.5 mm shaft for the new cloth. The cloth grabs a lot. With his winding stroke, that 11.8 mm spins the ball to much. He not hitting the center of the pocket. Tyler always plays well here. He uses a 12.9 mm. Josh Filler uses the 12.4mm now. Just my thoughts.
In the interview, Jeremy Jones shouldn't put it all on Fedor. All the US players are great. The only rookie on the US team is Wolfe. Fedor played for team Europe back in 2020.
Because Fedor lives in the US now and is trying to get US citizen ship. And the US needs him because they don't have good enough players and Fedor is number 2 in the world right now (Fargo rate). The US doesn't have good enough players partly because the APA has become too money hungry and doesn't want to invest in youth training.
Svb missed too very easy shots considering the level of his play, wow, I guess he was just showing his human side, USA could have won that match if he didn't screw up, oh well .
I like Jeremy Jones but I think it was a mistake to single out Gorst in that interview in the beginning. Everyone on the team should feel valued, not to mention the pressure it must have put on Gorst. The European coach was way more gracious, emphasizing the team as a whole, while still appearing confident and in my opinion intimidating as hell. Tbh I don't really like how the interviewer kind of encouraged them to trash talk.
Also, the European crowd is so obnoxious every single time this event is played there. Chanting and screaming while members of the US team are leaned over their shot, less than 10 seconds on the clock. And nothing is ever done about it
What a team the EU assembled, Albin, Josh, and Jason are arguably one of the best 3 in the game. Although svb is good, i think he's on the way out- stryer and Woodward and there rookie just aren't the same league as the men they faced. Wtg Europe, but USA is getting you next year!!
id say that the eu team's top are fsr, alcaide and albin they have been so good lately either way it sure is a dream team compared to us even though im a shane fan woodward is their top player basing on his last year's mosconi cup performance along with gorst.

SVB is my favorite player but it's like there's no point in him being in these Mosconi Cups, I'm sorry but he gets scared or nervous and faults almost every single year and it's like he cannot beat Shaw or filler anymore

2022 Europe doesn’t want Fedor 2023 they’re mad he’s on team America. The country he lives in. I actually mentioned last year he should be on team USA after he beat all five team EU players and they snubbed him and apparently I wasn’t alone in that thinking.

@@rac8153 The continental border of Europe extends into Western Kazakhstan. A significantly large portion of Russia (which could cover about half of the rest of Europe) is situated within the European continental border - including Moscow, where Fedor was born.
The governing body of the WPA should be embarrassed and fired for allowing such meager prize money. If they had any sense at all they would contact the Saudis and get funding for this sports entity. These immensely talented sportsmen and women should be making millions and get better TV and streaming deals. Get a life.
