I’ll tell you what, if the all stars got to practice together more before this game. I believe they really put a whooping on them. I’ll be interested in reading how the Olympic team does. I won’t be watching because I am not proud of how that team was picked. It was picked by petty people who didn’t mind dissing players who should have been in the team. Some of them more than once!!! Yes, men’s all star game is a joke, I don’t bother watching. In the 1970s there were great all star games with guys like Julius Erving and David Thompson.
This totally proves that when it comes to Team USA, it isn't what you know but who you know when making the team. From the OG bosses, coaches and players, someone needs to clean house if you want to 'grow' the W.

The rookies really exposed the vets, Arike is an amazing talent and her combo with Reese, Allisha Gray and Clark had them scratching their heads on how to stop them lol
All-stars wanted to prove a point. But I honestly don't think there's not much ill will between the USA team and the All-stars. They probably all saw this game as a really good showcase for the women's game and a way to help team USA prepare for the Olympics.
@@chillycharles910 it's probably because she plays for the worst team in the league. That would be a dumb reason to exclude her though, cuz I think there's been plenty of players in the past who were selected for Olympic teams in any sport who played for bad club teams.
Yet again a team goes down trying to clamp down on CC. All it did was free up everyone else. Then Arika when on a warpath, seemed like she could just throw anything up and it was swishing.
You forgot to mention that Ms Miller, the sister of of Reggie Miller, was way ahead of that other coach… smarter, better looks and way more charismatic.
I saw a clip on Twitter of players being interviewed about who they'd want on a two on two game team up with them and DT said Caitlin Clark with enthusiasm. 👍

Team USA have been playing against each other, and with each other in Olympics, for years already. It's quite interesting they couldn't pull it together.
Team USA does not have a proper point guard. That is why they badly need Caitlin Clark in the team. When the All-Star Team was playing hero basketball, Coach Cheryl Miller immediately put back Caitlin to the court to calm down the team and focus on team effort.
@@dstarks360 Plum just had 6 assists in 12 minutes this game. She can pass the ball, so can Sabrina. Just because they are more scoring focused on their respective teams doesn’t mean they will play like that in the Olympics, surrounded by superstars. Gray, Sabrina, plum, Loyd can all play PG just fine.

Caitlin Clark can play point guard but I don't think she's a point guard by trade. She developed into a point at Iowa, earlier in her collegiate career she was more of a shooting guard. So who are some point guards you'd add on the USA team then?
Old, slow, and injured as well. Team wnba could have totally embarrassed them. They kept them just out of reach, but could have dropped another 20 points on them easily.
I think it would be fitting of having this matchup again after the playoffs or playing against the World. Either way I would pay money to watch a rematch.

they made sure Caitlin didn't break Sue Birds record, which was 11. She needed 2. They started fouling with little over 1 minute left. Clark sat waiting to come back in, but refs wouldn't stop play after Arike scored. They snubbed her in '21, and she did same thing in allstar game
Imagine if the W all-stars had a few more practice sessions! And Arike’s purple patch was great to watch! The real team that should be going to the O is probably a half half mix of both teams today.

In their first game on the same team, AR seemed better able to handle CC passes in transition than several of CC’s Fever teammates. A future Olympic team with AR, CC and Boston would be downright scary.

The Junior Varsity just opened a can of "whoop-ass" on the Varsity's 1st string squad.. Maybe now they will remove the politics and base the selection on merit..
