I like Canada's chance, it's their best Olympic team ever, but if they play NBA basketball, they can't win vs USA..they have a chance to play FIBA basketball because not all of them are the main man on their squad, but they have to be careful not to fall back on the usual and boring high pick and roll while everyone else is standing still at the 3pt line !

International basketball will be more like a wide open pickup game for the pro's, so it will be guard and wing play that counts. Canada with SGA and Murray will be the toughest against the US. I think centers like Jokic, Gobert and Wemby will not dominate as every team will play a lot of zone defense and they all have enough size to play tough inside defensively in a zone.
Embiid is not a born American. He should not be allowed to play USA basketball. Not sure why he is not representing his born country or an African team?
The 2nd string is legitimately better than the starting lineup. We've had 5 games to realize this. The proof is there. The names on the starting lineup are pretty, but those players are not who they were 10 years ago. Embiid doesn't have that excuse - he just isn't good enough to start over Davis, or even Bam. Steph and Lebron aren't good defenders, and Lebron only defends at the end of the game. I'd put them both on the bench so they can save their energy, but Nike needs their marketing

Team USA will be fine......I would be more worried about the woman's basketball team....to manhninjuries and a much older team than most.....a young team could easily run them ragged.
