You are a master craftsman. Thank you for showing us the trailer a couple of months ago. Your attention to detail is impeccable. Definitely the best quality I've seen on any RV. I saw the ad on craigslist, hopefully someone new can enjoy this awesome build. Take Care
A really nice camper, I am thinking of building my own, 1 thing I would like to add, my back ground is boats, your battery should have a vent, when charging & discharging, it will give off a gas, unless it is one of those that is 100% sealed, where you can turn it on it's side or even upside down. I would look at a boat gas tank vent, made for a fuel tank mounted inside the hull of the boat, they are made to go thru the hull, not real big on the outside, it will need a 5/8" hose that you could run thru battery box lid, good luck with it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It looks really, realy good. First impression is professional build. The only detail I think you need to change is go with a better grade of window, one of the ones with the rounded corners. The square ones detract from the pro look. Otherwise, really, really nice.
Thanks Russell, if I did again I would buy the prefab door for sure. One thing I liked about this one was, it opened out and not up, so when it rained you wouldn't get water inside.
@@VStromGarage That for sure is a good feature. I did not know that. Anyhow, hope my comment was not viewed as critical. Really impressed with the job you did.
It looks very nice. Great job! One thing I don't understand is why when people are building these they don't make them a little higher? I don't like the idea of having to crawl in all the time. You might not be able to stand up straight especially if you're 6' or more, but at least you can stand up and move around a little. Are you worried about wind resistance while traveling, the way it would look, some type of height regulation, or what?
Very nice! I'm wanting to do the exact same design on the outside. What size is yours? I think I'm wanting to do a 10 foot. How tall is yours from the bottom/belly of the trailer to the roof? What did you cover the outside with and was it hard trimming it around the curves? Sorry for all the questions. Lol
I am starting a TY-Dean teardrop on a H/F trailer. Is your trailer based on TY-Dean plans.Did you move the axle back ,where did you get the windows and did you put resin on the body to seal the wood.BTW nice job.
Nice job, did you move the axle back. I am building a TY DEAN teardrop that is like yours. Did you ever get your one weighed, if so how muck did it weigh. Thanks
Just read the comment about covering the outside with aluminum. I was thinking about covering mine with a light texture professional spray bedliner. Seems durable, un scratchable, water and uv proof. What's your opinion on that?
Looks great! Does the A.C. Noice bother you while you sleep? I'm in the process of building a teardrop and I'm not sure if I should put the A.C in front of the unit or in the galley. Thanks
Great! thanks! I'm building my trailer right now and can't thank you enough for the quality videos and education you've provided. Fantastic job on your build.
I used that same ratchet jack on my last build got it at HF with a 20% off was $16.00, I like those telescoping level jacks and will use those on my current build. I think some folks call that a square drop as it has the galley in the back and can not stand up in it, but a nice build indeed and if you ever wanted to you can rip out that galley and use it as a toy hauler or gear hauler. Sub me and I sub you back
