Same. I'm in Florida and literally miss Colorado so much. Yet I remember being a toddler and recalling how I truly loved cloudy days. I always associate too much sun with aggressive behavior from ppl. Probably something traumatic but cloudy tends to cool people's minds off.

Your dad wanting to meet Allen, my grandfather is humbling. He’s was the smartest and most family oriented man I’ve ever know and losing him was hard on all of us. When he traveled or went camping, he would greet everyone in town, get to know them and be able to recall every detail about their life even years later. Used to love hearing all about the people in town around the campfire. That man was so proud of his family and would do anything for anyone. His favorite thing was to pull the train out that ran around that house (which he built himself) and take his extended family and any neighborhood kids for a ride and teach them all about it trains and engineering.

Being able to see someone else renovate your grandfather’s old house, just watching the whole process and just being able to see his house every week online, that has to…….well, I was going to say that it must be amazing, but thinking about it, it must bring about mixed feelings, especially as your grandfather isn’t around anymore. I’m so sorry you lost him, he sounded wonderful. I hope it doesn’t hurt your heart too much watching someone else renovate your grandfather’s old home. It is a beautiful house. I absolutely agree with you with seasonal depression. I grew up in Seattle and when theirs too much sun for long periods of time I get sad because it’s just too much heat for me. I love being cozy wrapped up in a hoodie, staying home on a rainy day. It’s my favorite thing ever!

I feel you about the opposite seasonal depression growing up in Phoenix,the summer has always been the worst mental health season for me too! Love your house reno series 💕

Yeees Morgan, I feel the same way about summer! I can’t effin function lol. Now when it’s cold in Europe, I’m so happy and relaxed with my sweather and candles while everyone is moping about the weather.
