German Gonzales uses Scotch (for dryness), Sherry (adds fruitiness) and Brandy Barrels (for sweetness) aged 5 years in thise separate barrels then blended and proofed to 43% before bottling

Not much of a tequila drinker, have had some whites, and have tasted this one, kind of expensive. I find it more of a tequila for whisky drinkers than other tequilas, including añejos and extra añejos . Great job Scott, Great job Bart!!

I've actually had this and it's quite unique. Aged in 3 types of casks I believe. It is pricey, but at least you get a liter. Yep, most tequila is 40%.. Great review.

Oh this sounds interesting!! I haven’t had much Tequila. I know quality can really vary. I am trying to think of a wonderful Blanco Tequlia (I think) I had recently. I hope I can pass along the name. The casks here sound wonderful! Terrific video guys!!

I quit tequila bc of a real lack of oversight. I want to know about additives in the product! That said, this is one that I would keep on the shelf at all times if I still bought tequila.

Additives in tequila can be a problem, and the regulations, which are already loose, aren't always followed. Tears of Llorona is additive free. Tequila Matchmaker has been the best way to figure out which ones are additive free since they have an independent verification process, but a new official verification system is just getting started. Hopefully, it will work out and the situation will improve in the future. Since I started buying only verified additive free tequilas, I don't get headaches from it any more. It makes a difference.

La Gritona Reposada Tequila! That’s what I recently had! I had to go look up the name after I left my comment! It was delicious! $102.00 Canadian before taxes. I would love to have Tequila aged in the casks that you mentioned!! Cheers!
