Tears of the Kingdom has a PROBLEM 

Nintendo has made it pretty clear that ToK will tie into SS - their expression that fans play SS in advance was pretty indicative that SS will be more important than TP or any other game.

Tbh the only thing I really consider a connection point is that the architecture and placement of the bridge of Lake Hylia are clearly drawn from TP. But even then, that was probably done in reference to the Bridge of Eldin without actually being anything more significant.

I haven't really seen any evidence of Midna's return, but my theory is that Fi is back and will have a role in restoring the Master Sword. (I have a video about it if anyone is interested)

I think you are absolutely right. It would be kool to see Midna again though. Even though it would make no sense at all.

The only way bringing back the Twili people could make sense is if they were revealed to be the same race as the Zonai, as the Zonai clearly will play a major role in TOTK. There's some really convincing theories that speculate that they are the same tribe, but otherwise, I will be perfectly happy with whatever they decide to do!

To me it feels more like Fi would make a return than anyone else. But Midna is peak companion. She's not annoying as hell. That's all it takes to be peak companion in Zelda. Not only that. But she had me worried about her and racing to save her. I ain't doing that for Fi, Navi, or King of Red Lions. They can rot.

twilight princess was my favorite game... but I think people are getting way too damn desperate to see the twili make a re-appearance. give it up guys. they will come back when Nintendo wants them to come back, and it wont require this level of speculation and grasping at straws to notice.

I heard all sorts of theories about TOTK, but I never heard, that anyone believes Midna or the twilight realm come back. I think, there is no chance it will. Not just because of the points you mention in the video, but just because, that's not how Zelda games are crafted. The development of Zelda games always starts with a specific gameplay mechanic, not with the story or characters: OOT: First 3D Game MM: 3 Day cycle & transformation (masks) WW: Open world (first try -> Nintendo said themselves, that it only took place on islands to make an open world possible at that time) TP: This is literally the only game, that does not 100% apply, but I'll get to that in a minute :D SS: Motion control BOTW: Actual/modern open world TOTK (Most likely): Crafting & Sandbox (Crafting weapons, vehicles, outfits and I expect, that you will be able to actually also change some things around in hyrule itself) Little side story for anyone who cares why TP doesn't apply to that rule: If you like TP or not, Nintendo said, that they actually never wanted to make TP and they didn't like it. It's a game specifically done like a game from and for the western market without the usual development cycle, because Zelda never sold that well in Japan and the flop, that WW was in the west, nearly killed the entire franchise. Don't get me wrong, I love WW and TP, but that are just facts you can look up. So, in order to revive Zelda in the western market, they just gave the western audience what they wanted, instead of focussing on a new gameplay mechanic and doing something new: - It has a lot of similarities to OOT by design - The Twilight world is also not really a new mechanic, but one, that was proven to work in ALTTP (dark world) - The transformation was also successfully done before in MM - And people wanted it to be darker (which is not a gameplay mechanic) You can actually see this, if you ask yourself which 3D Zelda is the odd one. You could think of any of them (not counting OOT, because it's the first) and see why they are the odd one, except of TP and actually make TP the odd one. They are all about taking your expectations and throwing them as far away as they can. - MM: Crazy sinister & depressing right after OOT, like whaaat? - WW: Toon style all of a sudden after MM and a huge ocean with islands? - SS: Takes a completely different focus with its motions controls and linear gameplay - BOTW: I guess that's obvious But TP literally feels like what you would expect.

The only theory I've ever had was that the Zoni were embassies of the Goddess of Courage at a time when there was no hero

tp was my 1st and is my fav zelda, botw might topple it im still undecided, i would think fi would have more likely hood of making an appearance than midna. my thought is the voice is prolly just whoever the hand is that grabs link.

I think maybe they could come back but not in totk. There’s already so much going on in TOTK and they wouldn’t wanna take away focus from that. I would love to see Midna again and this time we save her instead of Zelda. Honestly, with all the talk about the cycle of hatred being broken in totk, I’d that does happen I feel like the hero will still reincarnate, just not Ganon or Zelda for it will now just be Links adventures. And maybe in some game in the future, instead of saving Zelda we might save Midna for some reason

TOTK will work just fine even without involving the Twili and their story, though they can develop them in future titles.

6:34 the Mirror was only destroyed in ONE TIMELINE. Breath Of The Wild is at the end of ALL timelines. You're trying to deny the likelihood that, by a majority rule, the Mirror could've been allowed to exist in this world. At least do your research. This is the most annoying "counter-argument" from people who try to argue against it. At least Acknowledge that it wasn't destroyed in the other timelines, and don't try to say it was destroyed in the Adult timeline via Wind Waker, because only those with the blood of interlopers can canonically destroy the mirror

Twilight Princess was one of the worst 3D Zelda games alongside Skyward Sword. I actually find Midna completely overrated, poorly written, and more annoying than Navi. Twilight Princess is basically when the Zelda community develops a Zelda game. It’s so cringe.

Why the curse words and foul language in a video game commentary? You do realize children often end up on their way here, looking for Zelda coverage.
