Hey whats up everybody!
I hope you had a great week and are ready to start into the weekend!
Nintendo left us with a not so pleasant gift for the weekend, they released update 1.1.2 for tears of the kingdom. Now if you are into doing glitches, you might want to hold on with updating your game. Especially as the only good thing that comes with the update was one minor bugfix that barely affected anybody.
However they went hard on the glitches! Basically every duplication glitch that we currently know of is impossible to do now. This goes from the bow method for duping materials, to all methods for dropping and duping any sort of item and they even fixed the glitch to dupe zonai devices! Now doing glitches is not something everyone likes to do but personally I think you can do whatever you want when playing a single player game. So im quite annoyed at nintendo fixing this or the people that are angry at other people glitching even though it does not affect them in the slightest.
Now if you dont have much time to play the game and rather want to spend that time doing fun stuff instead of grinding materials for hours to finally get your gear to max level, you should definitely not update the game just yet.
Here are some recommendations on what items to dupe if you are lucky and havent updated yet.

they auto update by force if your switch is connected to the internet so you need to disable the internet. though i know if you got the download client and not the cartridge it constantly checks if the game is playable. so im not sure if this will work. i saw it ask for an update so i decided to just start software yesterday and play. i duped some more for funzies and then i terminated the app. the moment i terminated the app it forced the update. i kinda knew they would try that so i made sure to do whatever i wanted but still.

I prevented the update and was going to dupe stuff and expiriment before updating it but my sister decided to research how to manual update just so i couldn't have fun

i bought it on switch but prefer to play on emulator on my PC rockin version 1.0.0 :D

I mean, no one really minds what you do, but this game is 90% farming. So why the fuck would you spend 70$ for a game and then glitch 90% of it, make no sense to me

not really. this game has a few things. 1) the main storyline. 2) the sidequests 3) the shrines 4) exploration (sky and caverns) 5) creative machine building and 6) i guess farming. it really only affects 6 and maybe 1 but even with 1 you can get the sages quickly . pump 1 armor set and fight ganondorf so eh... .

@@phgamer4393 Really shallow view of the game. To build "cooll" you need to farm materials, to progress thru the story you need to farm. Shrines are literally a form of farming. Killing monster during exploration is farming, This game is a farm material simulator. So I still think that duping materials is a waste of the game.

To you is about farming, but to other people, it's about getting to the fun part quick like how you can get battery to explore the depth, or you can get to the sky without spending a whole week with 8hrs a day to do the farming. After all, this is an open single player sandbox game not Farming simulator so no harm in abusing glitches. Games are meant to be fun to the users. Especially at this insanse price. You still have to do all the step 1 before you can dupe anything means you have to get through all the step to get that item first before you can dupe It so there is no "short-cut" to get to the item except the glitch where you can get the unbreakable master sword. You still have to fight the bosses and probly die like 10 times before you can get that lucky loots but why in the hell I have to the same thing over and over and over and probably die 10 more time each play through just to get that same material that I need 100 more? Also the Shrines and the story quesline, they are unique and each is different from the other so you can get a unquie and refresh even tho it's getting you the same stuff. Getting 160 large zonaite is a different story. It's the same every time. You farm the same route, fight the same monster over and over and over and not everyone have time. If they make that you do 160 different quests to get a large zonaite, Now people might not using glitches and play through to get it. Also, getting more battery doesn't progress through the story, it helps you move faster in game which is the point of the game. Enjoying what's giving you not repeating the same thing for weeks. After all, they spend $70 of their money so It justifies that they can do whatever they one in a single game that has no effect on anyone else.

Why would anyone "cheat" minecraft and play in creative? I mean major part of the game is supposed to be Farming as well? Its a Sandbox game with hundreds of hours of content, duping wont solve shrines nor take away creativity or Exploration. It just saved me boring hours of grinding up mats for my zonite builds. I just wanna get to building.
