The Tigrinya people of Eritrea and Ethiopia played a foundational role in the birth of Ancient Egypt, and they remain the primary survivors of this renowned culture. I believe that nationalism can hinder a deeper understanding of this connection. In fact, nationalism is the reason why these discoveries were not made for 200 years. The Ge’ez language has its origins in Tigrinya just like Amharic and Hebrew. I have great admiration for the African-American community and deeply appreciate their efforts. They have explored this connection long before me, although not to the extent of being able to fully interpret the writings on the walls of Ancient Egypt and Sudan. Punt is Tigrinya from B'u N'ewet (We will be victorious over there) Kemet is Tigrinya from K'emet (He will be hindered to see) Please learn to read the hieroglyphs it's the key to unlock all the secrets behind Ancient Egypt and East-Africa.

@@teawete. Ancient Kemet was an amalgam of East Africans in general, including but not limited to Eritrea. Eritreans are most definitely are related though. Now it's time for Africans to re-embrace their Indigenous African spiritual systems and let go of those watered-down Abrahamic religions which stole from Ancient Kemet in the first place. Why practice that stuff that is keeping Africans asleep instead of just going back to the source of those watered down Abrahamic religions.

Race does matter when we talk about ancient Egypt. Too many people cannot accept the fact that Africans created civilizations along the Nile. Racially, culturally, and religiously, the ancient Egyptians were Africans. It is easy to research the modern distortion of the history of ancient Egypt, from Karl Richard Lepsius to James Breasted. Today we have the champion defender in Egypt, Zahi Hawass, making calculated statements that the ancient Egyptians “…were dark skin but not Negro” or “they were not black.” There is also a tendency to apply the actual color black to all Black people rigorously. Not all ancient Egyptians and ancient Nubians were jet-black, and neither are all modern Africans jet-black. Such an assumption, along with appearances associated with terms like Negro, Hamites, Nilotic, etc., are often used to muddy the racial identity of the ancient Egyptians. There are many images of other ancient Africans south of Egypt (Ta-Seti, Punt, Yam, etc.) with the exact representations of ancient Egyptians. They say race is a modern construct, but this did not prevent the ancient Greeks like Herodotus and Aristotle from referring to ancient Egyptians and Nubians as black. No amount of intellectual acrobatics can refute ancient Europeans' descriptions of Africans along the Nile. Note, even James Breasted”, (father of American Egyptology) outsmarted himself when he stated that the ancient Egyptians were not “negro” and they were instead related to the Galla (Oromos), Somalis, and Bejas (A History of Egypt by James Breasted). Yes! These African people are Black. The video in the following link is quite revealing as it shows how difficult it is for Europeans to accept the African origin of ancient Egypt. Notice how the Italian archeologist went through mental and verbal acrobatic: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qZMGpJCT2xk.html&ab_channel=AfricanBooth Let’s continue. Migration for people was never an issue. We see wall paintings of Africans and animals living in the Sahara when it was mostly a savannah. So, what happened to many of these people? They migrated north, south, east, and west (the Tebu are still there). There are many different types of Africans, like many other types of people. Dinka (one of the blackest and tallest), Batwa (so-called pygmy, one of the shortest), San (so-called Bushman), Khoekhoe, Somali/Afar, Tigrayans/Amhara/Oromo, Tutsi/Bahima, Yoruba, Wolof, Jawara, (Andaman Island, also one of the blackest people), Dravidian of India (Eastern Ethiopians according to the ancient Greeks), New Caledonians (blacks with wooly blond hair), and the Australian Aborigine. Europeans also differ from each other, but we still call them white even though when Italians first migrated to America, many did not accept them as such. East Asian people are also different (Koreans, Chinese, Japanese). The links below show the diversity among blacks, not just Africans. Although the list is incomplete, please add your link to your comment. @@SimonAruchanga You are welcome. As a teenager reading about Egypt in an Encyclopedia in the New York public library, I became confused when I read a caption under the image of an Egyptian Nubian boy stating that he was not black. This drove me to determine why they were making such a statement which led me to uncover the unspoken histories of Africans. This passion eventually led me to visit Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda (could not make it to Sudan and Somalia). These are places that have racial and cultural connections (i.e., harp in Uganda) to ancient Egypt. Egypt is a great mystery to outsiders / west / Europeans but it isn’t to Africans specially in the Horn of Africa because the culture and language still continues. They don’t understand the hieroglyphs because they purposefully and intentionally ignored the rest of Africa to understand Egypt in it’s entirety. There are many languages amongst the Bantu that are still extremely similar to the Egyptian language which would give more clarity and context to the language. They ignore Africa and it’s history for a reason.

Actually not all East Africa. When we speak about ancient times, think geographical proximity, think methods of transport, and access. Most important the cultural, religion and linguistic similarities that survived and still functioning not to mention archaeological ruins and written documents. Sorry but ancient Egyptian was closely related to Sudan and Eritrea not even Ethiopia. Look at current Eritrea after 500 years of occupation, still kept its language, religion, culture and customary laws. Even the Chinese president reminded our president last year that we have had trade more than 2000 years ago as we were part of the ancient Silk Road.

@@kingofhearts1072 historical and cultural appropriation is becoming normal in black people for self aggrandizing. Make history instead of sharing or stealing other people’s history. The modern day Eritrea formerly known as Midri Bahri and Punt before that is as ancient as Egypt. It all in the ancient ruins , books and oral history. This obsession with ancient Egyptian history and trying to claim it as black but not Sudan and Eritrea is not only dangerous but stupid. Go make history. History doesn’t stop it is a continuous process. Look at Biniam Girmay an Eritrean the first black to win to win in Tour de France. That is history. Ethiopians already started to claim him as Ethiopian. We Eritreans know too well our history and accomplishments being stolen by Ethiopians because they lack the courage, the intelligence and the imagination to make history so they copy or steal. In today's world, the idea of unity is more important than ever. It doesn't matter where we come from or what our ethnicity is. What truly matters is where we are going together as a global community. Our backgrounds and cultures enrich the tapestry of human experience, but they should not divide us. Instead, they should be celebrated and respected as we work towards common goals. The challenges we face-be they social, economic, or environmental-are shared challenges that require collective action and solidarity. so maybe if we find a real translation we can find a way to truly understand where we come from and where we are going...

🇪🇷Dear mein Brüder ESAYAS 🇪🇷 i appreciate your efforts on Studying the early Egyptian language relationship with our Eritrean Language Tigrigna ,but i have two questions for you . 1. As we know Hieroglyphics was used before 7000 B.C or more. Do you agree, tha Tigrign as Language was used at that time as spoken Language too ? 2. We Eritrean are pretty sure, that the"GEEZ LANGUAGE "was the frist Language in our Eritrea mother Land before Tigrigna. That's why untill now we see the impact of it in our Tigre and Tigrigna of Eritrean Language. What's your idea on this???? 🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷ኤርትራውነትን ክቡር መንነት ኤርትራን ኤርትራውነትን ንዘለኣለም ይንበር🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷

The building of the greatest civilization in the world requires a collaborative effort from many regions. I'm sorry to say that majority of individuals lack awareness regarding this fact. It seems he overlooked the 'Out of Africa' model and neglected to examine all the artifacts and images. During that era, diverse tribes from various backgrounds collaborated to construct that civilization... even having war to merge. Various ethnicities inhabited the continent of Africa, and all the knowledge they acquired came from inside the continent. Furthermore, it is logical to note that Africa has the capacity to accommodate the landmasses of the United States, China, India, and Europe combined. Additionally, Africa is widely regarded by numerous paleoanthropologists as the oldest continuously inhabited continent on the planet.

Thank you Esayas. But what do you think of our symbols for the sun and earth and our burning od essence during sunrise and sunset. Also they used to say feminine energy was divine and there were Queens who were priestesses in Egypt that went from us. The Egyptians even say Punt is tge land of the gods which meant fenewti, like etan fenewti. Or essence burners. We had the Yeha temple at D'amat which has a diplicate in Yemen who sacrifice Agazen etc. It may not mean sun god but it could have had so much to do with the sun. To see has to do with the sun as well. And so does tge universe. But i think there was politheism in Egypt, even the Pharoah were gods. And child birth and zerie which means seed was so important. I think we are the first Agrarians. Genetically even Yemenites and north Africans relate more to us to north arabs and Israeli proving Habesha didn't come from arabs but thw Yemeni ppl went from us. There are linguistics that niw say Semetic languages arose from Habesha than the Lavant.

Exactly. None of the Early Kingdom did . None of the DNA adds up to this. Modern Egyptian share 67% of their ancestry with Ancient Egyptians. There has been no evidence of a population replacement. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. King Tut is R1b West European Y Haplogroup with a K mother from the Near East. King Tut is actually related to more European men than Africans. I think you will find that hierglyphs are a universal script , and it contains MANY african tribal languages: As well as swahili and amHaric etc and even Hausa ! ( which is a very late invention , after the dmt period ! ( way after as it is a combination language of the sabean / yemaese and the somalia and ethiopian copts ! ) so that was not the true language of the ancient period , but we could find it in the hierglyph ! ( as this was the only writing of the period And the sumarian writing was not ( publically used by many ! ) ... ( or even easy to read )

When racism married lack of imagination, the result was western academia. For so long what western academics had to say or write about our own history was gone unchecked and unchallenged… but fresh minds are positing a different theory that upends the status quo. There is nothing more unpalatable to the western mind than African civilization and rich/old culture… they either appropriate it or dismiss it… and that is one of the symptoms of inferiority complex. I mean to this day… in every history books they say civilization started in Mesopotamia… basically modern eastern Syria, southeastern Turkey, and most of Iraq… even though Egyptian civilization preceded all the empires and civilizations that arose in that area… 🤦🏽‍♂️…

The lecture is quite compelling and convincing on the face of it regarding the deciphering of the hieroglyphics. Where this lecture could have immeasurable value is the idea of Tigrinia being the language of medu neter. The presenter said his family had a line of 69 priests, which is an interesting coincidence. It may be that the priest class of ancient kmt may have predominantly come from Ethiopia, hence the affinity and ease of interpretation by Tigrinia. The potential that the last 200 years of eurocentric interpretation of medu neter which we Africans already know to be significantly flawed, could be completely and utterly blown out of the water, makes this a watershed moment. I hope the presenter doesn't fall into the trap of presenting his findings as if ancient kmt is wholly Eritrean and Ethiopian. That isn't supported or supportable by the vast empirical evidence accumulated and so he needs to stay in his lane, which is offering an alternative yet authentic translation of medu neter.
