did the motor cause you any problems so far? do you still own the caR?

No, i bought it directly from VW dealer with 0 miles on it and sold as a used car, cause it was 2016 and i bought it on 2018. So VW started selling in Mexico the ones that could not sale in the US anymore. All paper work already fixed by VW. You can still find some left for sale on mercadolibre.com Mexico's Ebay like site.

En un motor de gasolina normalmente cuando los modificas te baja el rendimiento por eso amo el diesel no solo tienes más poder tu económia no sufre y en ciertos casos mejora. A casi cualquier carro lo vas a dejar atrás en el arranque especialmente si no tienen turbo. El turbo hace que tengas mucho torque/torsión ya sea diesel o gasolina. Casi con cualquier 6 cilindros automático de 5 velocidades o menos te puedes divertir. Y cuando vas en la carretera los de gasolina se alentan por el viento pero a este motor la resistencia de el aire no le importa y verás que tú aceleración es casi igual como si fueras más despacio. Es aquí donde dejaras a muchos carros segun deportivos atrás. Ya he dejado lexus sc, mustangs y tal vez por miedo de el otro pero hasta un s2000. Lo que más amo es que la aceleración es constante y ni se siente pero solo vez como sube la aguja. Y sin hacer tanto escándalo. Recuerda que los diesels duran mucho así que tú metele kilómetros con ganas. De un GTI a este prefiero el TDI. Lo único que me concierna es que el turbo de este carro es complejo y tal vez va a salir caro reemplazarlo. A y no se te olvide cambiar las bujías cada 20 años. Que chistoso soy verdad?

No problem i have 195. With dsg and now 60.000 km with tuning. Car has 185.000 km

@@joebloggs4191 i've got it in leon 2016 184 hp 380nm torque and now its about 7.4s 0-60, stage 2 you get sth like 207 hp 400 nm and its about 7.1s

I installed race chip and took the car from 150 hp to 181 hp. It feels like a different car. And i'm getting better millage also.

@@christopherbell7109 be careful to put it out of the engine bay, I took it from one side in front of the radiator. Heat can cause a lot of trouble to computers and it was throwing me a lot of codes. I found out that no matter where I put it inside the engine bay the chip box was always red hot. Once I put it in front of the radiator, no more problems, not even one.

Micah Goldstein yeah who ever though it was good idea to put the filter there had their head up their ass,state of the art engine with a retarded oil filter..

Now that I've done an oil change, I don't hate it so much. I'd have preferred if there weren't wires in the way, but it's actually a little cleaner than the top mounted version, as long as you pull the drain plug on the filter housing. Takes two pans and jacking/lifting the car up, but otherwise not a tough job. OH...yeah, taking ten screws out of the bloody engine bay liner was annoying too. But, for a once ever 10k job, not bad. And not worth what the dealer is asking!

It's possible, but a more thorough retune of its running programs is more likely plus a few small pieces of hardware.

Which will make it even slower and less efficient than it already is. :-(

@@BlondynCh I did get an APR tune and there was no difference whatsoever. I went back to the Tuner and they double checked the tune and verified it was on there however, somehow the new software upgrade by VW seems to reject the new instructions. They removed the tune and gave me my money back since there was nothing they could do. In the meantime VW added their hardware upgrade which in the beginning made the car more difficult to start. I mentioned it to the dealer and they said it will take a while until the ECU adjusts. Which eventually it went back to normal starting. Nothing else changed as far as performance or fuel mileage goes. Still slow as molasses with mediocre mileage burning the most expensive fuel out there. Never again a Diesel and Never again a Volkswagen,

now once your computer reajusted give a try to a malone tune they specialize in TDI's. APR tune specializes in petro cars or better yet if you want to be a cheap cey baby just give a try to OBD11 doesnt get any cheaper and will make significant improvements// you might see some black smoke at first but again were compareing cheap alternative to PROs at malone@@ThomasRSmith-og7zo

The "fix" was simply complying by the US's pathetic regulations on diesel cars by spraying a little bit more DEF fluid into the exhaust. Robbing fuel economy by a few points. These cars are fantastic, but you can thank the US for effectively ruining them and painting VW in a scandal when they were inevitably just selling European model cars. Look how Europe is using diesel electric vehicles that return 70mpg. The US govt, and their fixation on gas powered vehicles is ridiculous and inefficient.

You fools, America was desperate to stop VW TdI sales so they make up this bs that somehow the car knows when it’s on the rollers and so it the computer changes things in the engine to not pollute ... Bullshit !! The rest of the world that uses these motors hasn’t found anything wrong , it was America that wanted to hurt VW and they received a huge payoff in the process from the fines VW had to pay , diesel trucks in America and semi trucks all pollute way more than vw cars do but those are still legal huh?

@@kenj.8897 i have a 2015 jetta and love it. Lots of torque, excellent fuel economy. Its great. 1100km.on a tank, only have to do an oil change once every 15,000 km.

All the Sportwagon from the Diesel gate in US are for sale now in Mexico. I just bought one 0 milles 4 yesrs warranty fully loaded with extras for 14,200 usd.

It's not irrelevant, since you can now buy these cars (with Urea injection) and comply with emissions regulations. Not only that, but you will have a lot lower volatiles, CO2, and soot (particulate) emission than with gasoline cars of similar performance. It's actually very, very green. ;)

Look into a Kerma or Malone tune. More power and better MPG.

Out of thousands of thousand VW TDI models sold, I have never ever heard from any of these owners that these fine engines get below 40 mpg. Something is wrong with your car.

Dpf egr delete. Scr take all off. Cost ya Tune it 150 plus 500 exhaust. And run like nothing u ever drove. and fuel mileage way up. But the power where it’s at. I tune my own 3.0 tdi. It has 340 hp and insane amount of torque. But u will be polluting the earth. But hey vw been doing it for years. And worst they lied about it. I offered 43k for my 12 touareg and I not take 60k. Oh if u want pay out butt. Malone tuning. But I tune them any stage 200 bucks. And that’s telling u how do it step by step. Good luck

I do 45 to 55 on mine

I've a Golf with this engine and my average mpg is 51 over all fill ups. I had the final stage US emissions update done two tanks ago and across those fill ups, my average has been 53.2mpg,
