Having gone through so much bullshit, I can finally say I understand this song. 29 years old with 4 kids. Anxiety, depression, ptsd, mental breakdowns, 2 NDE’s, narc husband and no guidance since childhood (my mom did the best she could) I understand. I’m fragile now. But I refuse to let it harden me. Despite all the human disappointment. I’m relearning life while trying to teach it to my children. I know God got me 🙏🏼

i listened to this song when i was in the darkest depths of my addiction. now i'm listening to it with 1 year and 8 months in recovery. this song got me through the worst of life so i can finally start to see the best of it. Edit: back again to listen in Jan 2024 & forgot I had commented here. Still in recovery, 4 years and 6 months strong, since 6/11/19. Yo Kendrick can rap any style , part of what makes him so incredible. When he do a song with Eminem he can rap like Em , when he do a song with Tech , he can blend right into the track, Cole song on Black Friday and ripped it up, GKMC he rhymed just how Drake does , like there is no gimmick or style or any specific sound KDot has to rely on or be restricted to, like some other rappers only have one specific way of rapping , Kendrick can take your style and do it just as equal, if not better , ridiculous

Every time I listen to Kendrick I'm just reminded on how talented he really is. He was robbed at this year's Grammy's. Collaborating with Tech, Em, Dre, (just to name a few) says a lot. He definitely blows his generation's rappers out of the game.
