I didn't really learn anything from this vid I couldn't have learned from 2 sentences of text or even just reading the title. Still not relly sure what Tekton is. Is it a gitlab pipelines alternative? Etc. It seems to be a video designed for people who are already very familiar with both products and just hadn't thought of using them together.

still don't understand why we must use argoCD although tekton can deploy automatically to cluster without argocd.

Tekton doesn't deploy to the cluster, it just runs the tests, builds the image, stores it in the image-registry/repo and uploads the config files to the Git-Repository, while ArgoCD then takes those config files and deploys the newly stored image to the Kubernetes cluster. Just think of Tekton as a replacement for Jenkins that's a bit more efficient, while ArgoCD automates the deployment into the cluster.
