I just changed from ISP, now i reset the Apex severe times, but when i choose apex wifi, and then started the apex app (no matter if this is an Iphone or an Ipad) the app immediately exit,
Please help. When I try to connect to Apex Setup on my phone or any device, I get a message that says “Unable to join Apex Setup xxxx” I can’t get past that point.
This isn’t working for me in 2023. Kinda pissed off at the moment as I’ve tried everything to get this thing to reset to connect to my new internet and it won’t work. I can select the Wi-Fi net work but I get no prompt.
This video is specifically for iOS. The iOS allows for ease of use improvements that the current Android App does not offer. We are working on bringing these ease of use improvements to Android in the future.
Not being able to do this from Android or PC is very disappointing. My only real complaint about the Apex is recovering from network disconnects. Having this functionality for all platforms would remove my number one complaint about this system. If I didn't have so much money invested in it already; the frustration this causes would be a deal breaker for me currently.
Perhaps the newer Apex & App-upgrades make this tutorial outdated since others (and me) have issues when expecting the exact same screens you describe and then that does not appear. How can we 1st select the Apex setup wifi connection and then expect to get connected to our Fusion account with no Internet connectivity (since we are now connected only to the Apex setup) ?? Can't see how this is sensible/logical....
WIFI Setup does not pop up??? Made a ticket and i have to wait over a week to have someone call me?? Common guys.. I have got 10K in coral in my tank and a controller that i spent allot of money on that DOES NOT work...
So I had the same problem. I ended up having the Apex unit on, then unplugged the USB cord to the base unit which disconnected it from the power. Then after a few seconds I plugged it back in. It was still in WiFI setup mode and the light was blue. Then when I connected to the setup WiFi the app recognized it and prompted to find a new network. I hope this works for you!
this is a bunch of crap. I have spent 30 minutes repeating, repeating, and repeating this. he sells it like it is SOOOO SIMPLE. read some comments below and you will see im not wrong others are having issues. ITS NOT so simple. I GET "something went the wrong" message instead of the "setup wifi mesg" jump to 1:32- 1:37 in the video. I DO NOT GET THE SETUP WIFI MESG. OMG. why?
