Welcome to the Neptune Systems Apex Channel on RU-vid. Here you will find videos and livestreams that will help you understand more about the Apex including product announcements, how-tos, tutorials, and more.
So, what's the point of Neptune pushing out a video of them manufacturing a ton of Trident NP, only to go on the website on day one in the morning on 29 MAY, and EVERY online retailer shows OUT of STOCK? One (Aqarium Speciality) took my money/order last week, and I am requesting my money back because they said they had been promised 40, and only ONE came...smdh
This video helped me resolve the "no water sample" error I received, as well as showing me how to access the cuvette to clean since I already had my Trident open. Thanks!
I have all the neptune equipment on my tank (even thenew trident is on the way), i´m from México and i want to know if there is some way i can use Apex fusion with Alexa, i have tried to download but it doesn´t exist, could you help me?
Wait. Yall are charging more for a device that does only TWO tests? Moreover, who tests nitrates and phosphate more than once a week.? What justifies this cost....."It's New"? It should've been $499 with reagents. SMH....Corporate GREED knows no bounds. Well, You know what they say about a FOOL and his money. Thank god for Hanna checkers and the Mastertronic isn't looking so bad now. Very disappointed Neptune. VERY!
I currently test 3 parameters with my Neptune. This tests 2 but it's the same price? This unit should be $500 TOPS. This is why I've ordered a Reefbot instead.
"At least once per day". Nitrate and Phosphate don't need to be tested that much unless you're making some drastic changes which are not good. Stop forcing reagent sales by setting a limit for tests. If the reagent doesn't last that long and that's why you're doing it, just say so.
I have 2 Dos and they work just fine. I will pick up the new Trident as I've been saying it should have been done years ago. The testing is dead simple just add hold time.
This Module is the most disappointing thing that I have purchased so far from Neptune...this video is a fraud compared to what I have experienced and I am on my second one within 3 months
Meahh..., I was looking and hoping for an ALL-IN-ONE (5 ELEMENTS)...to replace my current TRIDENT that is already hard to fit in my current space... Not Really impressed and probably hold-out for now...but great suspense music and slick graphics...
The good news is that we can still use ABC reagents for the original Trident. I might just consider going back to Neptune now, unless the NP reagents will also cost 60€ per month in Europe.
Interesting. I had my money bet on a new 'all in one' unit. Guess I'll wait a few more years for that one. I'm sure that'll be the next evolution of the Trident.
Will be a monster of a unit.. as i think u need 6 reagent bottles maybe even 7 depending on the reagent choice for no3 and po4.. and then u also need a massive waste collection container (1gallon+) if u want some life out of it..
@@aronjanssen5702Indeed. Perhaps they would need to consider a new design, as there are other multi-test units already on the market with reasonably sized proportions.
Their website doesn't seem to have any information about them yet... I would really like to look and compare features to current day, and we'll as the new Hydros Maven.
Looks like they created a whole new trident that just does nitrate and phosphate. I hope not. Hopefully it's an all in one, but I dont know where they would put all the reagent, they should have just made 1 larger machine that does it all. As far as the dos, it looks the same. They should have made one that does 3, 4 and 5. This looks like the same 2, and the only change is the buttons that say left or right, a usless update.
Dos has new pcb and stepper drivers.. making it suitable for 24/7 continous operation, probably just a driver update (like from old 4988 to tmc2209 sort of deal).. The trident is just NO3 and po4.. those 2 parameters require the same or even more reagent/pinch valves than a normal kh/ca/mg trident.. I wonder how much the trident NP will be, and how the testing interval will be (and reagent cost/time before need to change)
@@billydanzz 1.5x quitter than old on slow 4x more quiet than old on fast mode.. 33 upto 49 db Large diameter tubing 6mm for dosing additive / water change / Liquid food and now suitable for calcium reactor use with 11.41 gallon per day max throughput on continuous mode. And now is rated for continuous duty (like the versa) Only works on apex a2/a3 (not classic) It has 6 speeds preset.. on high it should be 13db less noise.. thats significant, but i really dont mind noise as i personally just dosing modernreef rks supplements.. they are super concentrated, so dont have to dose TOO much
Don't even need the fitting....just heat the end of your ro tube a bit and slip it over the nipple and screw that nut down....I do this on all my dos and they all work flawlessly
I'm absolutely thrilled! With this new Trident, I can now monitor my tank's nutrient levels before and after testing, as well as before and after implementing any chemical or mechanical filtration. The advancement of technology in the hobby is truly remarkable, and I'm genuinely excited about the possibilities it brings. Neptune Systems with over 25 years in the aquarium controller industry, I've seen firsthand how it has paved the way for all these innovations
Its already leaked.. trident NP wondering wat the test interval / reagent cost and such is going to be.. would be a great addition to my "normal" trident
I want to know who was the genius that thought using metal for the screws and thread holes on a device that is constantly exposed to saltwater was a good idea. I had to rip off the rubber top and use a proper Phillips screwdriver to remove them because the threads were all rusted.
I am assuming that this is either a NO3 PO4 tester or a full blown multi parameter tester to go up against the likes of Mastertronic, Reef Bot, Kamoer Reef Master SPA. Regardless, it will need to have the following features: 1) allow the user to select the number of tests per day/week so it can test once a week if it so desires 2) independent reagent swapping in order to avoid wasting remaining reagent in some parameters just because you ran out of ALK reagent for example) 3) reagents need to be cost competitive. I have used Trident in the past and moved to Focustronic (Alkatronic + Mastertronic) because of these issues and would gladly go back to a full Neptune testing system if these are addressed. Upfront cost is not an issue (I did shell out close to $3.000 for the Focustronic gear when I had a perfectly working Trident) but spending close to $1000 per year in reagents is a no go
I am running trident almost from the day it came out. No maintenance, not ones. Just taking card it and do a bit of cleaning myself. It is a good product.
@@nickolasjanson2654 wish I had the same luck. Mine needed to be replaced through their program after 14 months. That one is now stuck in an initialization loop6 months later.. I clean the hoses, that part is fine but i can’t make the software work. Hard resets all that, didn’t work. I wish it worked with some simple maintenance on the tubing, like blowing them clean, but include a tool to do that instead of forcing costly repair processes and shipping. And provide better replacements instead of poorly refurbished units
@@stephenmcgauley I have the same issue: I just took a Trident out of the box and it failed before giving me a single reading. Had it sitting in the box for so long before putting it in service (13 months) that it’s out of warranty. Crib death with no warranty support. Stuck in the initialization stage and won’t give a single reading. I can’t figure out what’s worst: I’ve likely flushed hundreds of $$ down the drain with a poor product; I have to pay for service on a brand new machine; or that Neptune sells junk and doesn’t seem to mind.
@@nickolasjanson2654 So um... about that.... it's going to be giving you bad readings. There is a reason they say send it in ever 6 months. It's in the instructions.
