Thank you. I switched to “factory” clamps on my husky and they didn’t have a lock nut. I was panicking 🤣

Can over-tightening the cap nut to the upper tree affect the bearings?

Beat to get a torque wrench and check the required specs. Best way to do it.

no triple tree torque/back off/re-torque for setting up the bearings on these?

These settings are different depending upon the model of bike, model of forks, and model of triple clamps. The most average we see is 14ftlbs for the lowers clamping surface and 16ftlbs for the upper clamping surface. Check your OEM manual for their recommended settings though.
