I remember when this deck was new. Was offered in late 1988-at least early 1989. Had been lobbying my parents to upgrade our 1984 Volvo wagon to the CQ-R9300 cassette deck around that time. Deck installed was a Blaupunkt Aspen (the original with the single tone control and separate fader control) that the car came with when we bought it new.
@@luvradios I don 't remember, but it probably was close to $650-$700. It was the Panasonic/Technics equivalent of the Kenwood KRC-858 or the Sony XR-7300.
