As a dj for 30 years I've had the technics mk2/mk5 and GRs. I have also mixed on everything inbetween. For a vinyl purist like myself the MK7s are the best turntables to mix on period! The most precise and the most stable turntables Technics has ever created. Technics finally got the digitally contolled pitch perfect! the earlier MK7s seemed to have a few issues but they quitely have fixed them all. It's a safe bet from 2022 models onwards. The isolation is the only thing left desired but is no big deal. the GRs sound incredible but are horrendous to mix with, sold them after 3 months.
Have pair Technics 1200 MK7 for almost two years , honestly say that is great decks for deejaying . Direct drive coreless motor , robust tonearm , pich fader is precise tracks just stay locked more than minute..
Is possible share with technics mk5? People say that is better the last model, mk2 or mk5 than mk7. Why? The pitch is analogy in the mk5 and mk2 and have more precision? Could you do the comparison between mk7 and mk5/mk2? Thanks
I had MK2 and M5G, no MK5, I can’t tell you. But the technology inside the platter ( motor ) and the pitch or different. It’s inheriting from BluRay and it’s more accurate than MK2 / M5G.
