Thanks Wai, confused as to why they just didn't make it an X-T40 Too many camera models now is my take. Keep it simple and perfect what you have already. Its become a ball of confusion.
I think it's because the XT10-XT30 all have the exact same chassis, controls and design language. If you bought an L-bracket for your XT10 it will also fit your XT30. This XS10 looks pretty great but its a completely different kind of camera. They might still be planning on releasing an actual XT40 that adheres to the previous designs.
I remain underwhelmed with my XH-1. Maybe the jump from XT-1 to the H-1 was too much to adapt to, but then again, should a Fuji user need to change their shooting style so much? Sorry, but that Q position change & the loss of the compensation dial still bugs me! My XT-1 is still my go-to camera to grab in a rush knowing I won't have to struggle so much to +/- 1 or more stops.
I would have preferred Fujifilm to make a low-end medium format camera with say a 36MP sensor in the $2500 price range. An affordable medium format would be spectacular. This X-S10 is not going to be a winner for them and they should have released a weather-sealed X-E4 with a larger battery, tilt screen, and IBIS with the 26MP sensor. A smaller interchangeable lens street photography camera is what they don't really have in their arsenal right now. The X-Pro3 is a nice camera but having the X-E system was always a great alternative to the X-100 and X-Pro lines.
Hello! Wanted to ask you, between the X-T200 and the X-T20 which one would be better? I am thinking of getting something for a mixture of both video and photography aspects (more photo than video if any) and definitely am wanting to dive into Fuji as it will be my first one. I was considering earlier the X-T100 but then came across the X-T200. The only area I struggle with those two is that I have heard not all the Fuji film simulations come in the newer one. I’m not sure if that has changed or been fixed.
Just bought the x-t200 for my sixtieth birthday, got some great shots on a trip to liverpool, so happy with the camera but not too sure on how to do what I what I want to do with at a times when I want to change something. This is why I why I've been looking at the X-t3 - the settings are on the the dial on a top, as an ex 35mm film man I will know what am I doing. But Ibis in the X-s10, with my shaky, older hands maybe I should reconsider?
I like that I wouldn’t have to buy a grip for this camera. I like the new shutter button which hopefully will be like the one on the XH1. Still if they had moved the Q button on the XT30, installed a better viewfinder, add IBIS and a D pad I would extremely happy.
Hey Wai , thanks for the video. I’m thinking of upgrading from the X-T30. I’ve got my eye on the X-S10 but am also considering the X-T3. I’m not a pro or anything just use it for streaming and and taking pics /video of the family. Any thoughts? The ibis is a definite pro but the X-T3 weather sealing extra battery grip and video performance are alluring too. Thanks
I have problems with the x-t100 that the highlight gets easily blown out. Highlights in clouds. Did anyone else have this problem, and how do you resolve it?
For me the X-S10 does not make any sense. Creating a new line is too confusing. What kind of customer are they targeting? Why not just make the X-T30 body slightly bigger, put IBIS in it, and name this camera the X-T40. With the release of the X-T4 the X-H line the X-H line also makes no sense anymore. Fuji should stick with the X-A, X-T, X-E and X-Pro lineup.
I think I might get this camera. XT40 I think is more on keeping it's design legacy. This is a new designed camera that will cater those who like the larger grip and new fuji look.
Jed I’ve seen one in “as new condition” Also, Fujifilm seems to be shuffling their existing technology into different packages and price points Like Sony, there coming out with several new models each year which is both good and bad
