Hi TW friends, any idea if you will be play testing the Tfight 315 XTC LTD 16x19 version? I have just demo-ed this one and I think the thinner beam and the increased feel of the LTD version may be the answer for me. Thanks!

@Jeremy Morse, We aren't currently planning on reviewing the 315 Ltd. XTC racquets. As far as we know, the difference in the layup is minimal. Some of our playtesters have hit with them, and we didn't find a significant enough difference from the previous versions. That said, we have really enjoyed the control, and feel of the 315 Ltd. racquets in the past. These updated versions should not disappoint. Troy, TW

Hi TW I am 12 and I like the Tecnifibre Black Code 4s 17 , rpm blast, and Solinco hyperG 16L. I couldn’t find which string would fit me better. Which string should I go with?

@Devan Melandro, I prefer the Solico Hyper-G, or Black Code 4S. Keep the tension as low as possible, because these string can be stiff, especially for a junior player such as yourself. I would also consider a hybrid with a synthetic gut or multi in the crosses, to help protect your arms. Troy, TW

I just wondered i use this racket and was looking to add some lead where would you say the best place to put it 12 or 3 and 9?

@Matthew Emmerson, It really depends on what you're looking for from the added weight -- if you add to 3&9 you can open up the sweetspot a bit. If you at at 12, you can increase the swingweight making it harder to swing fast but adding more mass to your shots. Hi TW, how does this racquet compare to the new Vcore 98? A comment on Feel, comfort and which is more of an all court racquet would be greatly appreciated.

@Rabbit77, The VCORE 98 feels more modern and comfortable. The 315 XTC feels more crisp, and lacks the plow through of the VCORE 98. I would suggest the VCORE 98 as an all-court racquet, because it is more stable and the balance doesn’t feel as "whippy" as the 315 XTC. The 315 XTC is great for topspin generation, but lacks some stability when coming to the net. Sean, TW

Hi TWH! What version of the Tfights play most similar to Pro Staff 97?

@The Notorius L.I.T., The ATP TFight 315 XTC is pretty close in specs, but will have a slightly stiffer feel, and a some added power. The TFight 315 Ltd. XTC (16x19) will give you a bit more control, and feel compared to the Pro Staff 97. If I had to choose one, I would go with the 315 Ltd. (16x19), as the control, feel, and comfort is great. How does the TFight XTC 315 LTD 16M play? And in comparison to this racquet? I can't find any reviews for the LTD on the TW website nor the internet.

The 315 Ltd. 16x19 offers more control, feel, and comfort, but is also lower powered. This 315 XTC is stiffer, more powerful, but doesn't offer the response, and feel of the 315 Ltd. Troy, TW

Is there any big difference between this one and the previous blue model? I have the previous one and I need one more racquet. I see the specs are pretty much the same. Does it feel the same?

Hi TW. I am using pure strike 98 (305g) 16＊19 now. But sometimes I feel that I need more power then I lower down tension of my string. I found that it is not enough and less control out there. Could u pls give me some suggestion on which racket shall I change to? Tecnifibre tflight 315 or 300 or yonex vcore 98(Red) Thx a lot. Leo

@岳不飞, The Yonex VCORE 98 (305) could be a good option. I would also consider the Babolat Pure Drive Tour, Babolat Pure Aero Tour, Head Graphene 360 Extreme Pro, Babolat Pure Aero Plus, Yonex EZONE 98+, Wilson Clash 100 Tour. Unless you have your mind set on a certain racquet, I might consider to demo some racquets, as there are a lot of good options. Troy, TW

@Avudaiappan Ambalavana Theagarajan, The fit is similar, and the comfort is even better with the Asics Gel Resolution 6 shoes. The heel region, is not as secure with the Gel Resolution 6, compared to the Novak Pro. The Gel Resolution 7 shoes provide better support in that region. Troy, TW

Hi TW, looking at this new range (xtc) for my daughter (nearly 13). She currently uses the Aero lights and they have a swing weight of around 308. Should you always look at swingweight instead of strung or unstrung weight? Also what would be your opinion out of the range for her to try?

@Luke Powell, Swingweight is a pretty important number, since it helps to understand how maneuverable a racquet is. From the Tecnifibre XTC racquets, the 280, or 295 version would likely be good options to try. I would also consider staying in the Babolat Aero family, and possibly going up to the Team, or standard version of the Pure Aero. Troy, TW

Im in the market for a suitable tennis shoe for coaching daily and would appreciate any suggestions, as im on my feet all day, the following would be beneficial. Cushioning Durability (warranty would be a plus but not necessary) Not to bulky Traction (Suitable for all court surfaces)

@Hugh, I am a big fan of the Head Revolt Pro 2.5, as it provides good comfort, ventilation, and outsoles that should work well on all surfaces. It also comes with a six month durability guarantee. Side note, it does run short, so we suggest sizing up a half, to a full size. Some others I would consider are, the New Balance MC 996v3, Diadora Speed Blushield 2 AG, and Wilson Rush Pro 2.5. Which version do u prefer 315 or 300?

Overall we preferred the 300 XTC a bit more. If you like a more headlight, and "whippy" feel the 315 might suit you better, if you like a bit more of a hefty feel in the head, then the 300 might be the better choice. Troy, TW
