Top of the St-Jean to you Gilles. Seeing a pop-up on my screen for this video that I don't have time to review reminds of something that is seldom done (if ever). With the rise of a new solar cycle and the interesting catches that come with it, It would be VERY INTERESTING to have a performance comparison of the various receivers ON THE HIGHER bands, and I'm talking 10-12 meters here. What do you think ???
Cool video! Appreciate your effort & time to give us this perspective & comparison. I just purchased a PL-330 largely based on your positive review of this model. I have a question re the tether attached to the radio for carrying. I do not need it since I will rarely use it. Is there a way to remove it from the radio other than simply cutting it off? THX in advance! D. King, Thunder Bay
Only one time, I was triggered (and I can´t get it again) a bug that fix 1 Khz bandwidt in AM, LW and SW in no SSB or sync mode too, minimun is 2´5 Khz bandwidt in no SSB and or SYNC mode=. At this point, the radio was not allow me change or choose other bandwidt. BUT: the chuffing sound, the "pops", some background noise and the "peaks" in the audio was all gone. It was like listening with a very-very good PLL synthetised radio from years ago. :-) Sadly I can´t found how to get this bug again.
hey idk if you will see this but if you can i have questions for the realistic TRC 218 2 watt 3 channel walkie talkie, do i just pop the top off to get in and change the crystals, also my second crystal do you know where i can get crystals? thank you sm
The PL-330 had a pumping effect of the signal like no AGC. The 680 handled it much better. Of all your PL-330 vs whatever, this is the 1st video that disappoints me with the PL-330. Is there a gain control for the PL-330?
I note the PL680 is tuned to 13562 and PL 330 on 13650, the correct freq.???. Not a fair comparison. My PL330 audio is excellent as I feed the audio to a Panasonic active speaker.
I notice they are not on the same frequency. Unless the display is off? The dsp doesn't seem to hold the signal fade as well, but trade-off is size and weight, I assume. Nice comparison, thanks for the video!
any reason the PL-680 was tuned to 13652 not 13650? and I believe if you tune the PL-330 to 13652 you will stop the muting during deep fades so could you possibly do this comparison again?
