The late great Hugh Aynesworth at the start of the video. One of the great classic investigative journalists. Didn't take any BS from Bundy, or from anybody else for that matter, and did a lot to stop the glorification that always surrounded Ted.
I am always sorry for families who never recovered their loved ones but it's impossible for me to measure their feelings vs. the loss of one more victims at Ted's hands. More, it's angering to see how these monsters have 'gotten away with it' for decades or centuries due to the foolish pride of law-enforcement - "I want to get him first so I won't cooperate and save anyone else until MY pride is fulfilled." grrrr
I know that most of Gary Ridgway's victims' families opted to let him live so they could recover more remains. But they didn't/couldn't locate all of them. The search times claimed Gary "probably lied" about some but, to me, the tale from his son - at age 7 - of being in truck, picking up a young woman, using the boy as 'safe bait' - makes him deserve the worst possible fate. I keep hoping they can find remains of one victim that wasn't part of the original plea-for-his-life deal so he can be tried and executed.
Wow I'm not allowed to say i think the death penalty should be used even more sparingly? Many people of good faith say it should never be used at all period that's not even me.
