Sams father is proud of how the team played in a losing effort. Sam takes him to the restaurant and find the entire team fixing the place. He’s touched aand thanks the team from the bottom of his heart. He reveals to his father the restaurant is named after him - Ola’s.

Sam wanted his Dad to see a perfect restaurant, but instead we have this far more special sight of all these lovely people coming togther to support Sam. You can tell his Dad is so glad to see it 😭

They’re one and the same. One of the greatest and truest statements ever made in film, “a team is not a team if you don’t give a damn about one another.” Best of the Best. That is one of the beautiful things about sports, they can bring strangers together, they form a team, and that team becomes a family.

And the way they wrote it, we got no explanation for the name at first, but no big deal, right, it's just a name... and then, the "big" reveal, they didn't make a fuss about that either, just the timing of Ola's line, and the neon sign light up, and the looks btw. Sam and Ola, the shoulder squeeze, and it was perfect like that.

Okay I just noticed Jamie's hat. And I know there is a change in hats from "Icon" to "I cog" in scene where they gather money for something both in first season and last one pointing to his realisation as being part of a team instead of solo star while at the same time being much better player than he ever was. But he is wearing that "ICON" hat while doing construction. You only wear clothes like that when you are done with them and ready to get them irreparably dirty or torn. This guy is done with the ego part.

This whole show is life man. It shows the ways life can knock you down, but if you keep your head up and have good friends, things will work out if you keep moving forward. That line by Sam's father "Don't fight back, fight forward!" is a life lesson in its own right.

The only true shame of this show is that between seasons 2 and 3, they really put the work into starting to give the other members of the team more character and more of a voice. As lovely as I found the ending, I’d have liked to learn more about all the members of AFC Richmond.
