Ted Nugent is not only one of the best guitarists of the 70s rock era but had 11 top 100 hits (most of those big hits he wrote)...and a bunch of triple-platinum, double-platinum, platinum and gold records in the US and Canada. He was THE top-grossing live act in the nation, 1977 thru 1979!

what i found amazing in 1979 the english loved american bands and singers
@marilynmansonisfat5226
@marilynmansonisfat5226 4 года назад
I find the English always try to downplay American bands and when they list American bands they always sell us way short and have glaring omissions like Steely Dan,Frank Zappa, and The James Gang, for instance. They also seem to overlook things like Steve Miller, The Eagles, Joe Walsh's solo career, Kansas, Boston, classic Alice Cooper, Sugarloaf, The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sublime,etc-etc. I think they're just being stuck up because there are so many good British groups. But at the same time they like some straight up rubbish too. Plus we invented rock n roll.

Spending to much time searching obscure/underground rock bands, from the 70s, to no avail., leaving me scratching my head, and disappointed., when all I really needed to do, was to visit uncle Ted. Let me save you the time, searching, and trying to find that rock and roll holy grail/pot of gold, that eludes us, more often than not., and just check out any track, from cain - a pound of Flesh; or more Nugent, from the 70s. That should suffice.

It's YOU that needs to do some research. Theodore Anthony Nugent first received a high school 1-S deferment in February 1967, when he was 18. After briefly being reclassified as available for service, Nugent got a 2-S college deferment when he enrolled in Oakland Community College. In August 1969, Nugent took his draft physical and was rejected for service. He was classified as 1-Y, The 1-Y classification was usually issued to candidates saddled with significant medical or mental issues.
