I have been playing the drums for 40 straight years ... many different brands ... and I have found in the Yamaha many different qualities that made me choose Yamaha as " the one for me " ! Vinnie D'drummer
I'm pretty sure this is the video that made me say "Ok, I need to be playing Yamaha drums." I ended up buying a stage custom with a 20" kick in the natural wood finish to bring with me to college and I love it. Hope to add a Tour Custom and an Absolute Hybrid Maple to the collection someday!!
Joseph Kalina originally yes, but these are made in China, still the same workmanship, still the same leaders, just in a different country. Where they are built is total irrelevant if they are still built to a high standard and sound good who actually cares
theres a reason why yamaha was always the worlds best drummers choice of drums . i owned 7different Dw collectors kits and was never satisfied with the tones always sounded boomy and got my hands on a birch custom absolute noveu lug kit and damn they blew my dw 8000 sets out of the water . lesson learned yamaha is the best drum company and studio engineers worship there recording kits
Is this the Yamaha recording custom or something else, sweet sounding kit, definetaly one to consider buying, but not in this finish, and Teddy's playing is tastefully good.
+Larry Tate think of the best drum kit you ever heard, then put a loudness switch on it...that pretty sums up the PHX, highs, lows and depth!...the PHX has it in spades..nothing wrong with absolute hybrids though, great drums as well...
I have no stones to throw at Teddy. We have all done something wrong at some point in our lives. The most important thing is he has found forgiveness from his wife and they have moved on. Everyone in their right mind wants and needs an opportunity to redeem themselves. Do you want to be reminded of your past? It doesn't matter if it's true or not what matters is we need to move on and learn how to forgive.
