The Teddy Bear known for giving his all-female concerts back in the day. This is why we love that old school r&b which use to and still does stroke our souls! He had a flood of songs that I loved like "Closed the Door", "Turn Off the Lights", "Love TKO", "It Doesn't Hurt Now", "In My Time", "Is It Still Good to You", "Come Go With Me", "The Whole Town is Laughing at Me", etc.

Oh the velvet voice of Teddy Pendergrass...oh he is sorely missed..yet another who we lost way too young.. Teddy never sang a bad song.. and thank you for bringing Teddy to the people who have maybe not heard of him...oh we were SO lucky in the 80's with music...🇬🇧💞🙏✝️👏👍👏👍🎶🎶🇺🇸

One of the ultimate wedding songs ever written. This song has been played in plays, movies and so many weddings. Teddy truly had the voice for this song. Remember seeing him in concert singing this song and watching women just memorized. Truly a music legend 🎼🎶🎤RIP Teddy Pendergras ❤.

I've been a fan since his Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes days. I vividly remember the day he was in the car crash that left him paralyzed. But I also attended the Live Aid concert where he sang from his wheelchair. Very inspirational. RIP Teddy!

"Close the Door" and "Don't Leave Me This Way" are required listening. He was the lead singer of Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes before he went solo ("Don't Leave Me This Way" was with Harold Melvin). One is baby making music and the other song should get you moving in your chair!
