It's so sad people think Christina has no feelings. She is hardcore and a badass, yes. But of all the characters, she is one of those with the most intense feelings. She just internalises them, and doesn't always spell them out. That Teddy could not get that, is sad. I don't remember if Owen did either
Owen didn't want her to do the surgery, partly because he understood this about her. He knew, but at the same time, he also knew that if anyone could save him, it would be Cristina (since Teddy couldn't do it).
I disagree, I think Teddy just had that much faith Christina would succeed. She said "Christina is a machine", meaning that she was confident the pressure of operating on the husband of someone she knew wouldn't get to Christina the way it could get to other surgeons, and she was confident Christina would succeed and they would all move on just fine. It wasn't Christina's fault the tumor turned out to be almost impossible to operate on, but Teddy wasn't just treating Christina like she had no feelings either.
Let’s be honest it took her a while to get there. First of all I love Christina Yang this is not to go against her but it really is just the truth when she first got to Seattle Grace she really only cared about cutting and it was inspiring to see someone so focused on learning more about their field but she wasn’t the best with patient care as in bedside care and making sure they felt better emotionally but she could cut if she could do anything she can cut
Yeah this is true about her, but she's a machine in the theatre her ability to know when to show emotion is what set her aside. The episodes following this one proved that.
@@jessicaturner8634 No That’s Noh entirely true. There’s a reason why Teddy said don’t tell her who it is. Because Christina won’t ask who it is if she’s cutting. Teddy was confident that Christina would succeed.
Actually Hahn was better than Teddy. Remember Christina had a problem with Teddy at first saying she didn't know what she was doing. Hahn didn't fit in with everybody I mean after all she was a rival of Burke
@@faithwatkins7811 Maybe she was a better doctor and had more knowledge, but as a teacher she was a disaster, she was quite unfriendly. She only questioned Cristina but did not encourage her, Teddy was better teacher in that regard.
Christina did not like Teddy because she didn’t understand what she was doing. But Teddy was compassionate, and pushed Christina, and also scolded her when she needed to. Hahn always scolded Christina. Never really pushed her.
Can we also appreciate Webber's Humility and support even if the family is the one who will decide you can see that webber didn't fought with teddy and still supported her by being there with cristina.
The writers missed a major rule in surgery. Before everybody starts cutting the take a minute for "time off", when they state the patient's name and the way they are going to treat him, so that there aren't any mistakes. Sooo the whole "drape his face and don't say who he is" thing isn't right at all.
Obviously, but Teddy was freaking out and they wanted to appease her. Cristina was the most qualified to do the surgery at that point, and they knew that she would freak if she knew that it was Henry.
greys is actually very accurate, as long as they don´t want to make the scenes more dramatic, the drama is always what takes away from the realism but i mean it´s a drama tv show in the end so you can´t really fault them for it
I’ve been told that I’m cold and have no feelings pretty much throughout my entire life, even by my mother (It doesn’t bother me tho). I often got called a robot while I was doing my major and now, my coworkers call me that too. So, all of that makes me relate to Cristina. She’s awesome, so no complains.
You missed the point. Everyone is mad at Owen because he lied to Teddy about Henry being okay and then forced Christina to lie about Henry to Teddy for 8 hours.
@@romeochapola3857 i understand why he did that though. Like he's supposed to tell her that her husband died while she's performing surgery? I think he tried his best to keep her distracted.
@@bs4e I don't blame him for not telling her, but he just shouldn't have gone into that OR in the first place. He knew her husband was dead, and he knew she would ask, so just don't go in there, and if you do, say "I haven't heard yet." He didn't have to make her believe that he was okay. Also, making Cristina work with Teddy while Teddy didn't know and Cristina did? Yes, Cristina was the best option for the surgery, but that was cruel.
@@bs4e But Teddy was doing perfectly fine in the OR. She never asked for him to tell her what was going on; he chose to go in there and lie to her. If she had actually gone out of her way to ask him for an update, then I wouldn’t have blamed him for it. But he chose to unnecessarily. Then after Cristina had been trapped in an OR with Teddy for hours and immediately told her the truth after the surgery, Owen got mad at Cristina because “it should’ve been him.” Absolutions ridiculous.
