Like they never got a chance to love each other, and at the very end when they realize how they both feel. She cuts them. I mean I dont like Shonda but I love her
This was a really unexpected and special greys storyline. Showing people can fall in love in the strangest circumstances. I only wish we’d had more time with the characters as I think Henry and the actor had the potential to be a really significant male character. He had the charisma mcdreamy had for sure - I wish he’d stayed around longer
i really liked Henry, too bad they killed him, I mean i get that the actress who played Teddy had to leave, they could've made them leave together, why can't we have happy endings foe oncz
Lmao. That had nothing to do with anything. The actor who played Henry was casted in another Shondaland tv show, "Scandal". He played a main character throughout the entire show.

Henry was cast to die. He was a patient who started out as a patient who was dying and Teddy married him to get on her insurance. He ended up falling in love with her and then she felt the same way. They decided to stay together and then he died. Very sad
reminds me like a redo of Izzie and Denny almost. Like yes Izzie and Denny's situation was sad, but to be fair they ONLY interacted in the hospital, they didnt have their relationship outside of when he was admitted. they didnt even marry, just propose hours before the death. If their relationship happened like Teddy and Henry, it wouldve been so much more impactful feeling like this was with teddy
Grey's anatomy single handed made me cry more times watching this show then any other moments in my life combine. One is coming up when they send Sandra oh off.
that was one of the worst character assassinations i've ever watched. teddy was amazing up until her return where she felt like a completely different person
I can't believe they are going to bring Teddy back. I'm so excited. so much has changed when she left, and bringing her back might slightly bring back the old greys.
This song rang bells in my head... until I realized it is the same track playing in The Vampire Diaries in season 4 - episode 11 where Stefan tells Elena "You don't know what I look like when I'm not in love with you." and then the piano cue goes right then. Hits to the core just as much as this scene!!
I found this so gut-wrenching until I remembered that the cast still jokes around with a moulded version of Scott Foley's head that they used for that scene... apparently they still have it on set and that makes this soooo weird.
The way they did this to Teddy was so disgusting, and one of the many reasons I hate Owen and hate the fact that Teddy ended up with him. It was so wrong what they did to her here - not telling her the truth, waiting until the last moment, putting it all on Cristina to break the news. Absolutely heartbreaking.
I guess because I watch Scandal so much and I loooove Scott in it aka Jake...and seeing this scene made me cry...like I don't even watch Grey's Anatomy and like I think it's because I saw Scott in it...and how Teddy was feeling towards his death! Like I was crying right with her!!
Great scene both created a sad and emotional atmosphere for the situation. Outstanding performances by Kim and Sandra. I highlight the one of teddy alone with Henry so sad and motivating
The thing that Owen didnt get, and likely still doesnt quite understand is that while Teddy was pissed Henry died, thats not why she was pissed at him specifically. She was pissed at Owen specifically because he came into the OR (or at least the doorway) and told her that everything was fine. All he had to do was send someone else to check on how long she would be and he wouldve been ok, but that wouldnt work for the story arc.
@SuperMuusic A) It's a series, not a movie. B) They had just finished surgery. All that was still left to do was to close the patient up. C) It was a woman on the table. D) It was a heart operation, not a stomach operation. E) She was no longer on the verge of death. The surgery was over with her heart fully repaired. F) Drama? DRAMA!? Her husband died, for God's sake! G) Yes. A very good scene indeed. Heart breaking...
1:56 BROKE MY FREAKING HEART RIGHT THERE 😭 i remember watching live and i freaking gasped with her even though i knew already. such a painful ending (albeit inevitable ugh) to a beautiful story. wish they at least gave them more time but i guess Scott’s plans with Shonda’s other (awesome) show at the time couldn’t wait any longer. Teddy was never the same after this 💔
