I love how this channel introduces me to music I didn’t know yet. Problem is that I tend to get ever so slightly disappointed when listening to the original track afterwards as the bass lines aren’t as prominent as in Julia’s version. Also don’t get the groovy facial expressions she displays in her videos. So I usually end up listening to/watching her videos countless times 😁. One the best channels I have subscribed on.

I'm always amazed by her ability to not just play, but feel the music. Anyone can learn to play bass (in my case, poorly) but to do what she does takes something truly special.

Hi Julia, I've been feeling down recently as 4 of my family members including me tested positive for covid and 2 other family members died of covid just one week apart. I always listen and watch your videos. It helps alleviate my anxiety and makes me feel happy inside and calm. Hi Desiree, I'm sorry to intrude, as I know you wrote this to Julia, but I just wanted to wish you well. I just tested positive too and I lost my sister about 18 months ago. I also haven't been able to see my daughter for the last 2 years. Hopefully we are just about at the end of this pandemic. I agree, that there is something remarkable about Julia. Her ability to always put the perfect note in the perfect spot and never put a note where there should be silence is astonishing. I noticed in one of her recent videos, that there was a sign behind her that read " Home is were the heart is ". I'm starting to realize that a piece of my heart now lives in Poland. I think that could be said for a lot of us that come here. I wish you a speedy recovery and may you find joy and happiness on your journey through life. Wishing you all the best from the US.

I'm so sorry about your sister and I hope you get a chance to be with your daughter. 🙏 Yes I saw that sign on her Biba Tippi video and it warms my heart. I think for me, what makes Julia standout is her remarkable control where to put the right notes and she's absolutely locked in the groove. Whenever I come here, her channel has the most positive comment section and it restores my faith in humanity. She has also expanded my music library. Been a fan since her duran duran video and her cover of hysteria. It's like she's not here to show off but just simply share her talent and we're blessed here to be able to watch and listen. Hey Julia, not sure how you've mixed these tracks all this time - where it seems you isolated the tracks and removed the songs original bass - anyways... There's an app called Moises, that does just that. You give it a song via url or files from your phone. And it'll seperate all the tracks for you, letting you remove parts you don't want, or increase volume of others etc. Even let's you export it! It's really great and thought maybe you could benefit from knowing about it

I've been watching your videos for years. I play drums. And five other instruments But. With the drums, I dance. It's not the same. I read sheet music for the other instruments I play, and it's more About notation. It's all beautiful. But, when I play the drums, I dance. I don't need to count. I don't need sheet music. It's dancing for me. It's a passion. Seeing you in this video. I can tell you that playing the bass is dancing for you. And doesn't have anything to do with the timing or the notes because it is natural. You are dancing, girl. And you're just using the bass to do it.
