A Tampa Bay area teen, born without fully developed fingers on her left hand, has had the transplant surgery a doctor once told her would never be possible.
The Palm Harbor 19-year-old was born with amniotic band syndrome, which stunted the development of four fingers on her left hand. She has endured eight surgeries and a lifetime of pain.

Congratulations!!! The amount of pain you have endured is an example of how brave you are. I would wear my wedding band on the opposite hand for someone as beautiful as you!!!!

I was born the same way. Left hand only a thumb and a undersized peeky. Was able to function threw out current age of 56. Was able to do most, if not all sports and exceed others in those sports. Some basketball coaches were amazed even in college. Good luck. Wishing you well. And, yes I'm married 22 years.

I was also born this way. My left hand is missing my middle and index fingers. Also only half my pinky.

Same I have it but I have shortish thumbs a good left finger but the rest is tiny with no finger nail

congrats rachel for surgery u have undergone. i hope ur hand fingers recover .can u plz update. the progress in ur fingers , i want to see how ur fingers look like after surgery ..plz post the here

Does anybody know any updates on her. A family member of mine lost 2 fingers at a work accident. She is super young, she has suffered so much pain, but now she wants to figure out if she can have doner fingers.

I have that also, I have a kinda inward hook shape for my thumb and 4 little nubs for fingers. Even with that, I still can’t imagine trading a toe for a finger. No hate.
