This was 5 years ago. He is Danta Wright and the mother of the victim didn’t want to sit through a trial so the judge sentenced him to 25 to 53 years as agreed to on the plea bargain. I give this mom credit because I couldn’t sit by and watch as the person who ended my child’s life has the audacity to smile, laugh and make a mockery of what my poor child had to endure at the hands of pure EVIL! I hope and pray that he NEVER sees the light of day in any other setting besides prison where he belongs.
@@BAMBI3937 yes. if i were the family I wouldn't give a damn about how long i have to look at him smiling. I am going to court every day until I can ensure he won't get out of jail. Once the judge hands down his much longer sentence I will be the one smiling as he is led away. i guess everyone's different, however.
All of that will go away in less than a month. Then he'll start rethinking his miserable life choices and go nuts over thinking on it. Let him rot there.
Finally; a Judge with some sense. I'm a Black woman and I believe in justice and I'm so tired of these young criminals getting away with a slap on the wrist.
The fact he smiles and see no accountability for what he did, to me is very scary. The fact the family chose to not to take it trial says speaks volumes. I 🙏 this family finds peace and that God will comfort them.

Saudi arabia beheaded one person 😮two weeks ago for killing his cousin, the whole village beg for mercy but victim family went with execution. I wish we had such punishment for only such cases like this. His smile would of disappear.

Sometimes people that are very scared and know they're fucked, will start smiling and/or laughing. Their brain can't handle the situation and as a a very disturbing form of defence mechanism, they "lose it" temporarily. Very uncomfortable to see and hear.
This is why capital punishment, the death sentence, needs to make a comeback. These murderers will literally sit there and smile at the victims family and friends as if it was a prank or a joke.
He never grew out of that middle school phase where you think smiling during your punishment makes you some sort of badass, you ain't hard, you just a terrible person who can't understand the severity of your crimes
After the recess, the defense attorney comes out and lies directly to the judge's face. "He meant no disrespect to the victim's family or the judge." Yes he did, that was exactly the point. To him the justice system is a game to be played, and he's a winner while everybody else is a loser.
