I know not everyone agrees with me on this but I'll say it again, I love how this version of Brother Blood was utilized as an archenemy for Cyborg. I love this cult leader becoming obsessed with Cyborg because he's the one person he can't control like he does everyone else. I find that dynamic way more interesting than Grid from the comics and their fights are more visually appealing because their abilities and mannerisms are so different.

I mean the episode was written by Marv Wolfman himself, I would think the guy who created both characters and the comic the show is based on would know how to best use the characters

Originally Kid Flash was going to be part of Titans East but they weren't allowed to use him. At the time, the series Justice League Unlimited was airing and it had a Kid Flash. As such, the higher ups were concerned that having two Kid Flashes on two unrelated shows would confuse viewers. As a workaround, the Teen Titans crew came up with Mas and Menos.

I really wish they stop thinking their viewer are idiots, but at the same time, I've seen really dumb people working in retail, so I guess it fair to assume then, lol.

It was actually Flash in Justice League, however he and Kid Flash in Teen Titans are both in fact Wally West. Kind of a dumb excuse considering the fact they use the same voice actor anyways.

I will say as someone who has seen The Flash, I do really like how these two need to be touching in order for their powers to work. Cause the number of times watching The Flash, and I know Blind Wave has literally done the same thing, oh just being like Barry you’re fast why aren’t you actually running? I think that’s actually a very smart way for them to not be too OP. I’m also really surprised that they didn’t mention like the live action Titans when discussing Titans East lack of team work

I mean, Kid Flash actually appears in an ep literally titled Lightspeed lol. Even tho he’s OP in the ep he still isn’t as OP as his comic self and isn’t taking HIVE Five serious until he fights Madame Rouge

I love the titans east. All these years since I've seen the show and this episode is still memorable to me. Plus I just love the idea of Mas y Menos' powers.

I always liked Mas y Menos. While as a kid I always wanted Wally since I love his character I think this show did a good job having a new speedster and not just being a clear Flash ripoff. The fact they have to touch to be fast and so they aren't too op and since they seem to always use their powers whenever they do touch it really makes the two of them not have the common speedster problem of "Why aren't they always going top speed?"

"Más o menos" is Spanish for "more or less"; they're called "Más y Menos", which is "More *and* Less". Their catchphrase, "sí podemos", means "yes, we can".

This episode proves how much of a great leader Cyborg is. He’s done a lot of growing and he managed to make the heroes of Titans East cooperate with one another! Also the battle between Cyborg and Brother Blood in this episode is incredible!

Its also good to remember that Robin and Cyborg have always had a testy relationship, so I don't think Cyborg wanted to have a convo with Robin about being the leader of Titans East cuz he knows how stubborn Robin would be with his choice to stay

After Robin, Más y Menos were always my favorite characters from the Teen Titans, it is curious that in the Latin American dubbing, the thing about them only speaking Spanish was changed (for obvious reasons) to -"and they speak Spanish in their own way"-

As always loved the reaction/discussion and I hope once they’re done with Teen Titans and Gravity Falls they react to other cartoons that are episodic but still have a central story like Ben 10, TMNT 2012, Adventure Time, maybe even Regular Show (although it kinda does but doesn’t necessarily fit what I described lol)

TMNT 2012 definitely cause that show really pushes the boundary of what Nickelodeon has done. Maybe on par if not a little farther than Avatar

Imo the 2012 version because it smoothly combines elements from the previous incarnations. 2003 is good but but there are elements that I think are much better I 2012 like Shredder

It was interesnting listen the original voices of Mas and Menos. Since I watch this show in a dub spanish version for my country (Perú) and as a child I never understood the jokes they made, because they said them in Spanish and for me all the characters spoke Spanish xD, but yes, very cool episode :D Me encantan sus reacciones por cierto.

@@Kolbeck64 Well perhaps their voices were very shrill, in the case of these original voices they sound more using the stereotype of the Mexican voice, I'm not saying it's wrong, but it is more identifiable for an American public.

Mas y Menos are tv originals. Their debut in comics was being killed for shock value. Yeah, DC's eternal rival is Marvel, but its mortal enemy is itself.

Minus and Menos are two characters the creators made up because they didn’t have the rights to Kid Flash at the time.
