That charge they do after Leo says "this guy knows where splinter is" and this song comes on i get goosebumps everytime...Love when Donny throws his Bo staff and fights shredder bare handed and Leo goes hard af lmao even got a couple slashes on him.
@@Imperia1Wrath that says a lot when you think about it they're smart, you should be calm, slow to anger donatello, being so angry as to even throw aside his weapon and want to physically hit and Pummel the guy. Shows you how much their heart was in this fight. But of course master shredder, oh I mean shredder, was way more skilled than them
literally fighting goosebumps every time i watch this. its wild. for me, its the equivalent of opening a bag of like salt and vinegar chips and your mouth watering.
The Early 2000's Gamer Tatsu: Aaattack!! the foot charges toward Casey and he fights them with his hockey stick. Donatello fighting off two foot soldiers. One of them tries to axe him. Donny ducks. The foot causes fire
The rooftop scene!! Raph is my favorite turtle and the rooftop fight is my fav fight scene. Raph is tough as nails, none of the other turtles would've survived the beating Raph took after being overwhelmed and thrown through the skylight.
Raphael has and will always be my favourite turtle. It’s insane how this movie came out when I was 8 years old and I grew to exhibit his likeness so much. I had no idea of his actual personality when I was a young boy. This movie will always be the greatest depiction of the TMNT creation.
this really intensifies the mood if you play this when you're trying to get that darned lid twisted off the jar taking multiple breaks in between tries
One of the best instruments, period. I finally found it on Spotify, so I figured I’d share. Two versions: “Tatsu Attack” & “Shredder’s Last Stand” Both by John Du Perez 🐢🐢🐢🐢🐀🍕
Sort of getting into filming/theater, and man....the first movie is amazing. They did such a great job at making it sort of real world while staying to the cartoon. The costumes, tone, and music is great stuff.
The funny thing is they didn't give a DAMN about the cartoon. This was based on the comics, and aside from the multi-color bandannas and April being a reporter rather than a lab assistant, they pretty much stuck to the comics.
Every time i listen to this theme, i think of 2 people fighting it out to the death in an old abandoned run down warehouse. They are surrounded by blazing flames and the whole building can come down at any moment and crush them. while it rains like crazy outside with lightning and thunder filling the night sky.....super dramatic i know, haha.
I think Shredder was reacting to the tone of Leo's voice and not so much Splinter's name. Shredder was anticipating the 2nd attack, so turned dramatically to intimidate and ready himself.
Within context Shredder would have no idea who Splinter is. It's heavily implied that Splinter never speaks to interrogators while imprisoned, so the name would have no bearing on Saki. He's reacting to the elevated tone in Leonardo's voice. He's anticipating a new wave of attacks from the inexperienced but valiant and determined foursome and faces them.
Yet they all couldn't take him down except Leo put a scar on his arm which left him wounded which is good enough, but best fight scene in the whole movie.
And it took Splinter showing up on the roof and reminding Saki that they have met before. That's my biggest complaint with these new movies is there is no blood feud between Splinter and Shredder.
I'd like to share my story of this movie if you guys don't mind. Please leave your memories of this movie in my replies..... I remember being in first grade when this came out. The school I went to have a program called BOOK-IT. Students would compete with one another to read the most books. It was in cahoots with pizza hut so some of the prizes involved personal pizzas, Toya, collectors cups etc. The top prize tho....this movie on VHS. I never read so many books in my life. We go to pizza hut and unbeknownst to me, I won the movie. So my dad trucked me and paid for a personal pizza and said that's my prize. We get home, he puts "a movie" in. I'm eating my pizza and you hear April O'Neal talking about the crime lately.....As soon as I saw Raph pop his head out of the sewer, I f*ckin KNEW what the movie was and I FREAKED THE F*CK OUT lol. I don't have many memories let alone good ones involving my father, but that's Def a keeper in the old memory bank.
Wow I felt this and even got chills lol but because my dad was also the one that got this movie when I was in 1st grade and we were poor so this was a big deal for me but I will never forget it. Till this day I can’t stop watching this movie and I named two of my boys after Ralph and Leo 😊
0:37 "Oh boy... Leftovers!" 0:38 looks off camera then back at the Foot then back off camera again and runs. 0:42 Running to the Garbage Truck 0:46 Hopping in 0:52 Starts the truck up "YEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!" *Backs it into ladder* 0:55 Jumps out an punches out 2 Foot Soldiers "Its a talent!"
My god I forgot how awesome this whole score is, so amazing! I remember getting the clam shell Vhs for my birthday and the tape was actually green. Still have it! Being a little kid in the early 90s was the best. They don’t write movie scores like this anymore.
These were the perfect movie times, early 90s (also late 80s)! I was 12yo watching Ninja Turtles at the theatres and I can't even describe the nostalgic feeling! It was so exciting to go to the movies watching exciting movies like Turtles, it was new and fresh! Today CGI everywhere, it's boring!
I think you should rewatch the newer ones, they are totally perfectly goofy. The first is better then the second but they came after tmnt 2003 (iirc) when the turtles got more sci-fi
@@WaallyOne I love the 2003 TMNT series, too! Dark and gritty, like the first movie, and great humor (better than the 80s TMNT series although I grew up on it). I rewatched the Michael Bay movies and I like them as well! I watched the first Michael Bay movie with a friend at the theatres, and they sold hotdogs right before the movie, that was great :)
"CGI everywhere " EXACTLY WHY...... I at one time, I wanted to be in movies MYSELF/ ACTOR! But seeing that alot if not EVERYTHING, is CGI/ GREENSCREEN.....I seriously have second thoughts! Not even for all the money in the world will I set foot on a green screen set, put on a superhero costume, none of that bull-- Also , during fight scenes: Shaking camera!!! Close ups!!! Switching shots every freaking punch or kick!!! (Anyone can do that at home with their phone) I want to be able to "show off" , do some cool moves with wide shots And don't switch shots/angles Every time I throw a punch or kick Also know when I should react to a punch or kick thrown at ME and make a move to make it look like I got hit! Throw my head back, to the side, fall back , etc....
@@RaptureMusicOfficial Wide shots And 5-8 second shots Before switching shots/angles Showing a sequence of hits Punches and kicks!!!! Show that I spent hours rehearsing the fight scene (s) !! Oh... Thanks The .... ("Well said") 🫵🫵👍👍
Just rewatched this movie for the first time in many years. Once I heard this song I got goosebumps. Completely forgot about this song, and how great it is.
The two scenes that this background music always reminds me of are as follows. April loses both her home and job following a message from her boss that she missed and Casey Jones caught just before they escaped from the apartment fire, then CJ uses the garbage truck that Shredder fell in to knock two Foot Soldiers off a fire escape ladder.
Leonardo "One of these guys must know where Splinter is, so don't knock them all out" Raphael (as more foot arrive) "Yeah I don't think that's gonna be a problem Leo".
I know sometimes the NINJA TURTLES can't be Takin Serious, but This Fuckin Movie... SO REAL!!!!! And the Music to it was OFF THE FUCKIN HOOK POWER!!!!! REALISTIC!!!!!
Yeah this was a beautiful piece of music on it and particularly when he the battle against Shredder at the end maybe maybe all that Hardware for making coleslaw
Here are some good accurate descriptions of the scenes. Raph carried a knocked out April to the sewer den, then later the roles were reversed when April guarded a knocked out Red masked Turtle while Mikey, Donnie, and Leo had their hands full with the apartment invasion, which led up to the apartment fire before the Hockey masked vigilante teamed up with the Turtles when they desperately needed him.
