An Espee lumber train comes up at Cliff. Lead unit has full Espee light package. At this date it was rare to catch an unrebuilt SD45T-2 on -the -point, let alone a full SP light package.
9260 was in moth balls until it was needed that's why the light package survived .8300 was NOT the first sd40t-2 built BUT it was the first sd40t-2 built with the 188'' nose.8300-8392 or something like that.. I have seen 8300 pass by my house a million times when I was a kid.,...Seems like yesterday:(
Full light package and you also caught class unit 8300, the very first SD40T-2 built! What's sad is that the 20 year old lead SD45T-2 looked, paint wise at least, better than the trailing SD45T-2R that just had it's rebuild just 2 or 3 years earlier.
