A sound demo just tweaking the Teisco 110f. No extra FX used, recorded straight from the synth.
The Teisco is especially great for fat basses and nice leads, but can also produce some weird ring modulated sounds. A very versatile synth.
I have tried to cover most of the features, but I am sure I have missed out some things. But this will at least cover the basics I think.

Never heard of this synth. It's really cool! I'll probably never find one in my area, but I will keep an eye on one, I like it.

My first ever synth. I was 19, saved up for ages and was talked out of buying an Odyssey. It was really noisy, supremely heavy and the attack is soft. But - it had 2 4 stage envelopes, that awesome Moog filter, RingMod, S/H, HPF, pink noise(I know the Od had some of these too) and a much better modulation matrix. I still have it I still love it. Lovely, I bough mine at the age of 14 after a summer of lawn-mowing in the neighborhood. I chose between the 110f and a second hand Ody Whiteface. I still have mine too (and bought the Ody later). The only thing that surprises me is when you say that the attack is "soft". I find the ENV's very rapid. If you listen to the song in the beginning, and especially the drums, I think they are rather rapid. I often use my 110f for drum sounds.

Would you say that the reason that both this and the 60F get overlooked is down to nothing more than them not having a Moog, ARP, Roland etc, etc badge? Btw, did you end up buying an off white face Odyssey? I think the MKI is able to seduce just by its looks alone!

Very cool dual lfo + ring modulator = vcs3 like weird sounds. Powerful.

I love this synth!! Sounds so beautiful. I wonder what it would sound like through an MS-20 into a UREI 1176 and then a slight touch of reverb... mmm.

Ha ha, that is another demo-tune I've made of the 110f. It is "White Wedding" by Billy Idol performed only with the 110f multi tracked. Search for "Teisco 110f Demo" on youtube and you will find it.

Since I own a Ody2800 and an Avatar I can make a direct comparison, and the filter in the Teisco is much fatter. Moog-class. Odys doesn't even come close. But the Odys have better modulation; FM, SH and all that. They are rather different imo.

what makes ypu say the Odyssey has better modulation? This seems like it gets into more FM territory than an Odyssey can?

@@24framemedia The SH-mixer in the Ody makes it more versatile. You can mix and blend waveforms and creating FM-stuff better than on the Teisco. You also have more modulation options per oscillator. But sure, the Teisco is not far behind. :)
