In the summer of 2019, Steven Hatcher, Director of the Folk and Traditional Arts Program at the Idaho Commission on the Arts, set off to document Mexican musical traditions across southern Idaho's Snake River Plain with two fieldworkers from Boise State University and a carload of borrowed audio and video equipment.
