@@tonydaza8504 I respect her because she’s clearly very intelligent, I don’t care if her motives are skewed. She’s an interesting character, she comes out on top always even while being a human
I think, his weird “hole” quirk is because his power is all about deduction and finding the outlier in a pattern. Displaying eyes heart beats, breathing patterns. He’s looking for imperfections where no one else sees and then to see a circle that by definition is a perfect circle equally balanced all around it must trigger some strange impulse. He even says that getting to the truth feels so satisfying to him but I don’t know if it was a metaphor or he really gets a rush from it.
LOL As the other person commented, it is simply a brain tumor (the original comment is already a spoiler, so there's no point in avoiding spoilers). But that being said, you absolutely nailed the *symbolism* for why *that* was chosen as his ultimate weakness and what lead to his downfall. It's not simply meant to be funny and shocking, but also meant to symbolize how his downfall is ultimately that he was *too eager* to "fill every hole" *immediately* and that he exposed himself and made himself a target by doing so! As this scene shows, the moment he notices a "hole" in a given narrative, he says so *immediately* to *everyone* he's talking to (even when he's well aware one or more likely culprits are in the room with him) rather than perhaps keep quiet for a moment about having that information, reviewing it and/or investigating it *privately* and *tactfully* (i.e., maybe don't ask one of the most likely culprits herself why she lied when the two of you are alone in an office? Maybe find a way to get her into a room with a listening device, or into a room full of officers, lawyers, and cameras and *then* ask her? Or maybe find some more information first that you can build a case off of *before* you finally set up a "now's your chance to come clean" meeting? These are *common* investigative strategies, by the way! But nope, he just *has* to "fill that hole" *immediately* and ask her then and there, despite the obvious disadvantages, because there's - literally - something wrong in his head)! So yes, thanks for pointing that out! Again, the symbolism is indeed spot on!
If you think about it, Tek Knight is freaking useless because supes like Cate exists, why use Super Deductive Powers when you can just mind control a person to tell the whole truth
However one small problem. Cate needs to do physical contact, we dont know if her manipulation requires hand contact tho. If someone catches her off-guard and rips her hands off, she's done 💀
@@Devil-Joe They have a blind but whose hearing was increased via vought powerup daredevil alike in show that doesn't do much. Homelander slammed his ears causing him to scream and bleed. we've seen the guy at least once in future eps after that.
Just so we're clear, Tek-Knight was so eager to "fill the hole" in the given narrative the moment he found it that, rather than set up a meeting with Shetty somewhere where he could maybe have undercover officers listening or have a bug in place, he instead went *straight* to her office and told her immediately he knew she was likely covering something up? Ok, ok, actually, to be fair, a quick handshake visit in which he simply scans her physical reactions to him being there (i.e., the sweat, the increase in heart rate and adrenaline) *would* be very valuable for him to know if she's got something major to hide - that's true! But that being said, it really *should* be noted that there is *nothing* that is forcing him to *immediately* tell her then-and-there that he noticed that! The *common* investigative practice would be to *leave* her office now having that information and be *tactful* in how you choose to "fill that hole" in the narrative. But *instead* he just *has* to try to "fill that hole" *then-and-there* and ask her all those questions that you *already* know she's terrified of you finding out the answers to? I must ask, is there something wrong in his head (particularly with his brain) where he just *has* to "fill" every (narrative) "hole" he sees immediately after he sees it, regardless of where he is or the situation he's in?! XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD
Clearly wants to be the smartest person in the room and you can't achieve that without some smart feats being witnessed. And pretty much all the soups are fucked in the head in some way so oversharing hardly seems like the worst thing he could have

we need a payback spin-off series with black noire, tek knight, soldier boy, crimson countess, and the rest of their squad before the seven was created
He needed to find the *perfect* scapegoat, as they say here, there was no real mistery, they all knew (the higher ups) why Golden Boy did it... But to fabricate a fake story and blame another... That had work on it
@@comebackguy8892 how. the clip explains he came in knowing why golden boy did it. ashley barrett mentioned as who sent tek knight, is the hair pulling person in the primary Boys show trying to keep control of the supers. and her own sanity whenever homelander does something. so she sent tek knight. and therefore the higher ups knew. Tek has a production so he can give a public edited account of who and why.
I enjoy Tek-Knight but the comics pretty much establish him as a good person whose potential as a hero is hindered by his brain tumor. Even Billy Butcher did not despise him and left him alone after he got all the information he needed.
So is tech Knight a supe in here or is he just a regular guy with a suit of armour like in the comics. I think that would be pretty dope ngl. In a world full of supes he's just a regular guy with a high tech suit. But then that would create a plot hole in why the boys didn't just steal his suit in order to beat up supes.
A girl he accidentally crippled back in season 1 mentioned a suit, but I think it became too dangerous for him to use so Vought forced him to give it up.
He definitely has supe powers considering the things he noted in this scene, adrenaline, one bead of sweat, all things a normal person wont have the sense to notice, he also told cate hed take her hand off if she took her glove off so hes probably stronger than a human
This character made no fucking sense. Tek-knight sounds like he's meant to be some kind of Iron Man parody. Why the hell is he a detective? And why didn't they just give him a different name?
Seems to be that sadly tek knight ain’t too nice in the show. Sucks since in the comics he seems like he was a good supe that was plagued by an issue he had no control over and died heroically.
Fr. Honestly really hope he returns in the future and with an armored suit. I enjoy this actor playing as him and I think his character has a lot of potential. He could be as a dope as Butcher, Homelander and Soldier Boy.
in a show full of super powered individuals this was something you didn’t like? would you care to explain why? what’s so wrong with it cus ion get it g.
Same. I prefer the comic version myself, basically just some egomaniac billionaire who bribed Vought to let him play superhero with his gadgets, but it'll be interesting to see what they do with this version.
Watch THE SHOW, they said hes a regular human who paid his way in. The supes dislike him.He pays attention to small details like sweat. He's Sherlock, Batman and Iron man rolled into 1.
I knew the writers on this show would completely screw up the character of Tek-Knight....and they did. His behavior in the comics is a mystery until the brain tumor is finally discovered. And he's actually one of the few supes that Billy Butcher doesn't completely despise. But here they basically just made him into a smug punchline.
@@jowaksh6627 He's as much Batman/Bruce Wayne in the comics as Tony Stark, down to the boy partners and the butler. And the point in the comics is that he's a rare supe who's not that bad until the tumor alters his behavior. And he's not a "pedo."
@@jowaksh6627 That is more accurate, but Tek-Knight is not a "pedo," because he isn't specifically attracted to minors since he is basically wanting to have sex with almost anyone and anything. Plus, he sends his sidekick away so it wouldn't happen.
What are you talking about? Did the joke fly over your head? "Johnny Depp someone" meant defaming like Amber Heard - i.e. Tek-Knight is going to defame someone "so hard" to the point where they're going to "crawl into a hole and die". Before making this joke, he literally said "find a patsy and destroy their life". How is this a sign of the show believing Amber Heard is in the right? More the opposite, isn't it? o_O
@@SableLeaf See, I originally thought that could be it and that I was just looking at it the wrong way, so that's why started digging. And after digging enough, I found out by multiple sources that the shows creators are on team Amber Heard. The line he uses is basically saying "I'm gonna do what Johnny Depp did to Amber Heard."
