@@Vvccshhshzhjsjsjahdhd Nichijou is different from most slice of life animes. it's really funny and cute and it does some great things with its animation. it's a must watch in my opinion
@@Vvccshhshzhjsjsjahdhd you HAVE to watch higurashi at least once. It'd say it's in top 3 slice of life of all time. You won't find anything else like it.
@@Vvccshhshzhjsjsjahdhd yeah it's definitely got a good amount of comedy. I wouldn't say it's for everyone tho, because it can be a little crude sometimes, but I definitely enjoyed it. It doesn't have very many annoying cliches either.
@@GeeGe.lmao yeah thats even more fucking stupid because the steepness of the cliff has practically no impact on whether or not he would survive while the size of the cliff does
King is one of the greatest characters of all time. He has the head of a mighty jaguar, the body of a Greek god, the gloriously thicc thighs of an anime waifu, and the liver of a heavy drinker who has financially run his local orphanage into the ground
King is the best, because he's based on an actual Mexican wrestler called Fray Tormenta. Dude was literally a catholic priest who did pro wrestling to support an orphanage.
Dunkey's verbose and erudite analyses are what make me love not only him, but video games in general. Really makes you FEEL like turning to heavy drinking after the orphanage runs outta money.
this took so long because he wants to deliver a true and honest review. he's been playing this every day since its release and he's finally ready to tell the world what he thinks about it
I was really hoping you meant irl and you used it to resolve all your problems in life. Dad being a hard ass? Grab the sword and start spinnin'. Teacher says your grades are poor? Ya know it's spinnin' and swordin' time. Wife's having a difficult labour? Time to bust out that C-section spin
I got all the Tekkens on my PC through emulation and 7 on Steam playing the shit out of the whole franchise getting hyped for what's coming next for Tekken. Tekken 8 is SOMEWHERE in the making, the Netflix series, and most importantly, Tekken 3 (dunkview)
The voice acting is genuinely the thing I remember this and other old games that defined my young days. This coupled with Abe's Oddysee made me a sucker for good sound and music. The vibes in the different levels on Tekken 2 are amazing. I also can't imagine how many hours my best mate and I blew on this game, and my folks even played too which made the memories of it all the more sweeter.
I think I remember playing a demo disk of Tekken 2 that let you select 3 characters from the front of a playstation review magazine. Then shortly after getting on my radar Tekken 3 came out and I actually became yoshimitsu.
Tekken 2's soundtrack is so good, ESPECIALLY the remixed soundtrack. Michelle and Kazuya's stage being my absolute favorite tracks of the entire series.
This game changed my life. I played it when I was 8 and it made me join martial arts, I was poor so I cleaned shop windows, mowed lawns and scooped poop to pay for lessons, my sensei saw this and mentored me in life (he was a Yale graduate and a forensic psychologist for the district attourney's office). I am now 32 and a success financially, physically and mentally, despite being a fatherless dropuout. I owe my success in large part due to Tekken.
The way Tekken evolved on the PS1 was really cool, you take each entry and every one looks so much better than the previous game in the exact same gen.
I have very fond memories of Tekken 2. It's the first game I played with my dad (who is not a gamer at all) back when I was around 7 years old. I'm 31 now and to this day we occasionally plan an evening to play Tekken and have some beers. We're up to Tekken 7 by now and still going. He hasn't played a single video game apart from Tekken in all these years. Bless him.
I haven't felt this nostalgic about a game for a decade. Thanks for highlighting how much of a mile stone Tekken 2 was, and appreciation of that sound track
I love the storytelling in Tekken. It came out in the era when games started to have fully written plots, some good voice acting, and started earning praise for their writing, but Tekken completely bucks the trend and reverts to an arcade-style visual presentation in the most flamboyant CG they could afford.
C'mon Dunkey, it's been a year. We need the sequel to this masterpiece. Had a child, started your own company? No excuses. The orphanage is running out of money and King has turned to heavy drinking.
Thank you for this Dunkey. Tekken 2 was the very first game I played and it blew me away with the graphics, effects, the soundtrack.... The soundtrack needs a video of its own. I'm glad you covered this gracefully.
Ah yes, Dunkey back with yet another youtube classic that has 0 dislikes, truly just a masterpiece from a flawless mastermind, Dunkey is very evidently the greatest youtuber to ever youtube and I'm glad the statistics are finally beginning to show it.
It's always strange when you just see Dunkey *gush* about something he loves. You keep expecting a stinger or something but no. He genuinely *loves* Tekken.
2:15 lmao Dunkey, that's a wind instrument like a flute or somethin not a theremin lol dunk is the best fr. Also I actually have an optical theremin! it has a creepy baby doll head attached to it and the eyes light up red when it powers on, it looks like one of Sid's toys from Toy Story possessed by the devil and I love it!
I member a while back Dunkey made a reference to the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 sound track and it spun me off into a moment of ultra nostalgia, that soundtrack is so bedded into my early memories, I listen to it from time to time now just because of how dope it is. It was such a specific reference, and I was all here for it. I'm so glad you are showing how awesome/hilarious this series is dude.
Just want to say I love your recent Fighting Game content, and not just the sweaty esports of it, but the magic of the characters, stories, stages, and nostalgia. As someone who always loved fighters, it is nice to see someone of your Calibur (lol) cover these games. Thank you.
What an amazing video dunkey, truly one of the best reviewers, looking at every perspective of the game! Showing the love you have for games and showing the respect to developers who worked hard on the game! Much respect dunkey!
damn man, the nostalgia of hearing the game's OST hit hard Tekken 2 was the first Tekken I played back when my dad got the PS1. Those days of playing and unlocking all the characters were great :')
Same here man, I distinctly remember beating my dad with Jack-2 by hitting square repeatedly and then him and my sister telling my I couldn't be him anymore.
The game that started it all for me, the series that ended up being my favorite fighting game series of all time. I love MK, Soul Calibur and Capcom fighting games alike, but nothing will top Tekken for me. Tekken 3 and 5 are my personal favorites.
I remember me and my sibling being blown away by the intro cinematic to Tekken 2 when it came out. You'll never know how mindblowing it was unless you were a fighting game fan when Tekken 2 came out.
“And the herbie hancock comes in on the theremin or some shit” has to be my new favorite dunkey quote, I went to a herbie hancock concert one time and he was going off on the keytar
I remember even if they didn't want a match, my cousins and I would watch the intro cinematic every time I booted it up. The music, the way it was shot, it was like a really hype movie trailer. We only had a genesis before, so the production was jaw dropping for us.
I’ll never forget going to visit my cousin for Thanksgiving, and we found Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 in the basement. We played that shit for hours up until late at night. This series has a special place in my childhood, and my heart. ❤️
I was born 1999. When I was 5, we had a ps1 laying around the house. This was the first Tekken I ever played. And thus, introduced me to gaming ever since. Damn, good times.
This is so nostalgic, if my family wasnt so into tekken 2 growing up I probably wouldnt have gotten into any fighting game series after. Such a good soundtrack too
