I like the way they do so much damage as well. Like a 4 hit combo is half your health gone

it's still useful in some situations. I.e. getting up faster to block guaranteed attacks after grabs (like Hei's powerbomb)

In T5 you had to u+2 after Nina's WTF in order to block her mixup because the knockdown was untechable. It was noticeably faster than just trying to get up normally.

It actually became obsolete in Tekken 4. You needed that faster get up in order to avoid otherwise guaranteed follow-ups from throws. To put things into perspective, Heihachi stomp was unavoidable after 2+4 without the trick.

Can you please explain what triangle/2 mean? I know there's a triangle button, but what is the 2 button?

@@Sippy_Boi Triangle, Y and 2 are one and the same command, and in Tekken it means Right Punch.

It's sad that we don't get character-based stages in fighting games anymore.

And just like in T3's opening, pretty much everyone gets to do something. Back when Namco actually gave a shit about a character that wasn't somehow related to the Mishimas.

Bruh he not playing the arcade version, this is on some console emulator. Errbody knows the arcade version is designed for you to lose so you'll spend more coins.

Yeah the arcade version of Tekken games is notoriously difficult.

The Arcade History/Arcade Version of Tekken 2 (I can also confirm this is the same via MAME as well) is known to be difficult as the opponent input reads even on default settings especially by the endgame. Though you can cheese it in some regards

100% agree. - Survival mode always is a blast, with fair AI and a proper increase in difficulty. - no sidestepping, just backstepping. So no random hits and misses. - best music and backgrounds - great final boss. Ogre was an easy joke and Jinpachi a cheap nightmare. - Heihachi is my main and i prefer him like this over grandpa Heihachi. - Jun (and her stage music), enough said

I think all Tekken games were like that if there was a Double KO in the final round against the AI, the score is given to the AI.

Ultra hard computer hasnt actually been a real challenge since T5. T6 and on, computer is basically green rank and below. Shit, at least in Tekken 6 computer used to do an actual combo or two and blocked. Now, they just stand there or walk into your hits.

Never played those games until after I had already played tekken 3, but I'd keep going back to this game for Kazuya's suit and the fire music.
