Tekken 7: Claudio - Staple Combos

df1,2 b3, b3, d1 2, wr2 for 66 damage

I can never hit the f3... I've to do a 1 before but then the dmg drops to 79, i want the 85 though :D

Ok your combo works but not on Josie and Heihachi. You can still do "my" version (vs Josie, Heihachi) for 79 dmg instead of 66 like in the video.

ok yeah i noticed that earlier actually, it looks like my version only works on the bears, bob, miguel, dragonov, shaheen, kazuya, claudio, king, jack, bryan, steve, jin, devil jin, gigas...... i thought it was most males, but gg it's not

you can squeeze 2 more dmg by doing a f2 instead on 'your' 1 (on lars at least) ( df1,2 f2, f3, ff4 b3 RA -> 81 )

How? when i ss into f3 they just lie on the ground.

S! is referring to the spinning animation the enemy makes after you use a certain move. I usually note it with T! because the property is known as a "Tail spin". Moves that produce a "Tail spin" are often referred to as Tail spin moves.

BRUH YES! I didn't know that it actually increases damage. I knew it from previous games, but I thought rage on T7 was only for rage drive and rage art. So yeah, I've had it on for the whole month I started playing

thats not the point, Claudio gets his starburst buff at the end of the combo making it an essential bnb

if you think that simple combo is hard work you should probably give up tekken 7 now

lol, don't be so sensitive, I was just fucking with you. I learned Dragunov and Mishimas in Tag 2, the execution barrier was far higher; T7 is easy by comparison. 58 dmg sucks, I get 61 with Dragunov for an easy juggle and I don't have to buff the character. It's not that hard to get 82 dmg with Dragunov, I dunno how much you can get with his highest damage combo. There's a reason Claudio is C tier :P he's not very good.

fair enough, i respect your opinion. personally i dont care about tiers, im smashing people online with Claudio and thats all i care about.

SVT_HongJisoo 17 you can activate stb with 2 1 2, f2 f2, or using combo enders like wr2 just to name a few

S! means Screw Attack it's a way to keep the opponent in the air the notation means S!(Screw Attack) followed by the attack in this scenario the Screw Attack for an example uf4 f3 S! ff4 b3 f2 b4, 2. In this combo the screw attack is ff4 - forward forward 4.

it's probably because he's so stationary. that makes him very odd to play as every other character usually moves forward while doing moves while he doesn't

You can indeed "Ki Charge"/press 4 buttons to train CH moves, in game you actually want to setup a frame trap. For example you can achieve a frame trap by hitting the enemy with 1,2 jabs into d/f+2, if the enemy uses an attack when being hit with the jabs the CH property is apply'd to d/f+2 and you'll get a full combo. Moves that have + frames on block are usually used for frame traps, claudio has fff+2 and u/f+2 which work for this strategy.

TheNorthingNL Wait again, wtf are frame traps now ? It has nothing to do with mix ups right ? So + on block moves are set ups for moves that stun/launch on (Counter)Hit right ? If so i assume that frame traps are guaranteed right ?

A frame trap happens when an attack has some kind of advantage on hit or block (usually on block), and the player whose attack was blocked has another attack that has active frames that start before any move of the opponent's can start. It results in something that isn't considered a true combo, but is highly effective for hitconfirming or mindgames.

Hi, It's true the STB-d+2,2 move is not NC, this would make the move way better and thus we can say Namco did this by design. A really good player with a good amount of anti Claudio training under his belt can duck the move on reaction. Because it is not NC you can mix really good players that know what is coming up with STB-d+2 ws+4 or even STB-d+2 uf+4. The move in itself is interesting and I believe it is a true combo on CH. It's the best low option out of STB and if it wouldn't be in this video there would be a lot of questions asking for the STB-d+2,2 combo.

TJX2045 Not a lot you can do apart from nailing the timing.

ED The RU-vidr so I have the PC version and the PS4 version. When I originally tried that combo on PS4, I whiffed it. Did it on PC and it was fine....went back to the PS4 yesterday and plugged in the controller and had it communicate through USB and it was fine...is input lag still a thing on the PS4 or was it just online play?

I agree the combo's in the video are solid. I did find ws+2 b+3 b+3 f+2 d+1,2 T! fff+2 to be more damage but I am not sure about the consistency.

The S! means screw, is when your move makes the opponent tailspin to make the combo longer. The W! means a wallsplat, is when the opponent hits the wall and you can do a wall combo. WS means while standing, is a move that has to be done while your character is standing after a crouching state. And wb I think you mean wr? WR is while running, the moves that are executed with three forward inputs and a button, for example claudio's WR2 is the superman punch he does a the end of some combos. Hope I've been clear enough.
