@@kieranray5340 true but u can't be that heavy look sub 10-12% bodyfat. And if u are that heavy u can be fit and muscluar but that doesn't neccesarrily account for bodyfat levels.
@@kieranray5340 the other weights are pretty realistic tho. But marduk should be the one is 320lbs of mostly muscle cos he's 7ft polynesian/aboriginal. King was 90kg 4 years before tekken 3 tournament to jump 57kg in 6-8 years is nuts
Soul Calibur pioneered the display of full body 3d models early on, then MK popularized it in the past generation with a stylish presentation, and now SF and TK got in the trend. I wonder if Arc Systems and SNK will get in this trend in the future, and hope they do. This is a kind of thing that I don't mind to become a standard, because it shows special animations, so there's extra effort from the devs to add personality to each char and strength to the game's presentation. It's only boring if it's the full body display of plain idle stances like in recent GG games and DBFZ. That is no different than early MK or early Marvel select screens from the 90s, just with 3d models.
Imo she looked her best in TK5DR and her T8 model comes at a close 2nd! Everything jn between was just bad. I can tell they struggled with her hair lmao

Interesting that you can choose to play in the right side, even as player 1, and the travelling shadow effect as the character is selected looks pretty cool. 0:11 - Xiaoyu's little hands behind her back pose is cute. Her silver dress sparkles rather nicely in whatever area this character select screen is supposed to be (seems to be behind two giant curtains leading to the Iron Fist tournament arena. 0:26 - That starting moment where Lars is pure silhouette aside from the blue glow of his electronics is neat as well. 1:08 - Love the energy that King displays; looking awesome as ever. The character boxes seems pretty small, so they seemed to have allowed room for plenty more characters if need be. I've also noticed that Yoshimitsu has yet to be announced. His absence is striking. 1:59 - The extending arm and "yeah" of Jack-8 is nice and Paul's big grin is ever so charming.
It's interesting to see how a sudden turn of events made modern MK (since X) a big influence on japanese fgs in many non gameplay aspects. The select screen and more realistic aesthetics on SF and TK... the MK11 super effects on SF6 lv3 supers... the intro dialogue on GGST... An adventure-like Konquest mode on SF6... some sort of body damage on SF6 and SC6... elaborate cinematic story modes on all them, etc.
Wasn't this select screen in different games? I'm pretty sure Tekken 6 had character models show on player sides Unless you're talking about specifically from the waist up, with the select being in the middle of course
I'm not a fan of the music (the "oh oh oh" hooks are pretty grating) but the dark-to-light lighting effect when hovering over a character is perfection
I really like how they put extra animations due to characters select. Even Tekken 6 has something similar, but wasn't this much as this. This is def great work devs put.
Well, the music is not good but the select animation is 🔥. I like the subtle details including left eye lights up when you pick him or Jin does his Tekken 5 pose. Gives each character a lot of personality.
Canonically, Jin discarded Mishima Style Karate and Kazama Traditional Martial Arts in Tekken 4 and switched to Kyokushin Karate. That said, I think gets back some of those moves in this game.

i tried setting rage art to R3 like in tekken 7 but now you can not do that and all my controls are now messed up. its a simple fix just allow you to program heat or rage to R3 or L3
I like how Jin lists his fighting style as just 'Karate', as it's a mix of Kazama and Mishima Style Karate, and likely because he hates labeling anything he uses with the last name "Mishima."
Anyone else notice the slight stutter when player one picks their character? I noticed it in the demo, but it looks like its like this in the full game too. Weird
