Victor might seem OP at first, but once you realize how linear he is and how most of his strings are unsafe, you will notice that he is digestable! Follow me on X: / dengojin #tekken8 #victorchevalier
Oh, this should help! I tried out ranked for the first time last night and had problems with this guy. But that's how it always starts with new characters, especially ones that get stances and stuff.
A place in my heart A place in my mind A prayer for the souls That are running out of time A fight to live It's a fight to breathe It's the only way to be You be you And I'll be me Waking up in a world Where the warriors reign The pressures of life Drive you literally insane Don't be ashamed of your race Or the place that you're from Stand strong 'til the end 'Til the battle of the world is won.
Thank you for this!! I''m new to tekken and this is greatly helpful!! If i may ask some advice. What are some tips to fight against the bears? I always get beat by the bear's 111 and get launched. Then when i stop attacking them, they just attack me with their crawling stance and i'm just lost. Thank you again so much for because i to have trouble fighting victor.
Great video! I know they wrote side step right but they only sidestepped left when showing the punishes. Just making sure, is it side step to your character's left or right?
Pretty late reply - but Victor's generic throws have a very very short break window so that players have to be ready for them and mash when they see them come out -- usually without confirming hands. Which means you can mix generic Throws with his 1+2 pretty successfully - or just only use his generics for the tiny break window -- first time I played vs Victor I didn't break any generic throws. Not sure if this is just a bug.
You’d think his phase teleport has i-frames and that you shouldn’t try to risk attacking him through it, but that’s precisely what they want you to do. Players that know how to negate his offense scare me and the amount of times I’ve gotten hit out of my teleport frames while trying to generate pressure or play evasive has made me have full-body meltdowns while playing as Victor. 😂
How do some of yall block? Do you hold back or just go to neutral? I play some ppl online and its like they block EVERYTHING and I block nothing at all. Even tho, in theory, i am.
As a Victor main, take this video down. 😂 But in all seriousness, I agree most of what you say. People crying that he is OP just dont know how unsafe his moves are
As always, the easy bunga characters require an encyclopedia of knowledge to counter. Game is so bad 😂. Not to mention that some of his moves in heat chip like strings from unpunisheable ranges
@@fabriciosouza3128 incorrect. You can describe the kazuya match up, the dragunov matchup, armor king, kazumi, heihachi, the Claudio match up, the Bryan match up, lee, shit, even jack in like 4 sentences lol. Idk where this delusional take that characters are equally cheap came from, but it’s nonsense. Kazuya and yoshi are not built the same
@@superblack898 of course you would use Kazuya as exemplo lol Even Dragunov has knowledge check with string, throws and tackle so all The characters you mentioned, it only happens that Victor is a new character with +70 moves, its just how it works in tekken
@@superblack898 want the lazy how to deal with victor? Side step right Just launch him every time he go into stance, his only option is to armor Dont worry about lows In heat, let him waste his teleport or sidestep right if close
@@fabriciosouza3128 dragunov is one of like 10 characters I mentioned, and his cheese is still barely anything compared to the other trash in this game. Hwoarang has ten options when he picks up either leg, and then has a back turn with more options AND all of his other neutral tools. The problem is that you think that because a character has one piece of cheese that suddenly that’s a “cheesy character” but that’s not how that works. It’s a minuscule part of how drag plays, the rest is super clear. Xiaoyu however uses the entire move list every team, and each move has a super nieche way of dealing with it. Hwoarang will go into a ten hit string chart that if you press into at any point, you explode, and has one interruptible window 2/3rds of the way in and then it’s pressure again. That is not the same as “drag press d2, he evaded highs, it tracks and is neutral on block. He presses wr 2, big frames, super stepable.” Just like raven, the new character is 5 stances, 4 teleports, moves that play the neutral for him, and 10 hit string links that are interruptible at some arbitrary point in between
