Well according to the Tekken wiki before Tekken 8 was announced and Tekken 7 was the latest game in the series, the only time Kazuya cared about collecting shoes was back in Tekken 1. I guess he's been too busy since then to really indulge in his hobby. Unless he's just been doing it off screen the whole time.
what, devils can't like sneakers? but it would be really funny though if the last thing that holds on to his humanity is his sneakers collection, not jun or jin
@@klockenberg2299Yeah, but it's one of the what if endings So it probably shows what Kazuya rather wanted compared to the world conquering bs that his family put him into (pre Tekken 3 Kazuya)
@@Adeyum64 Maybe his collection is that big because he has the wealth as the head of G Corp he uses to rule the world. Can have 2 things exist simultaneously.
@@davidwhatsthatabout7404 what i meant is its so good to see kaz being truly happy yes he always laughs and smiles in his endings and fights but all that because he won a fight or his evil plan worked but in this ending he's happy and proud of his sneakers collection (this is the only kaz ending where he isn't evil he's just enjoying his collection of shoes)
@@komisan5757 i still cannot see the REAL kazuya tho;( to me he wasnt meant to be like that, it was the devil blood that currupted him and it was the devil himself that laughed in those endings. looking forward to seeing kazuya being saved my Jun in Tekken 8
Kazuya: They thought I was out of the game. But I'm holding all the sneakers now. Heihachi, watching him through his spy camera with great envy: You deluded fool.
Me: What are you doing here Heihachi? Aren't you supposed to be dead because Kazuya punched the living lights out of your heart and then threw you off a volcano?
@hellothere3609 Me: Yeah but Kazuya has the Devil Gene meaning he can survive anything as long as another Devil Gene User/Hachijo member doesn't kill him plus he had a little help from G Corp. You Heihachi are just a badass human who eats axes and bullets for breakfast. You don't have the Devil Gene you're supposed to be dead!
@@SonySlasher2468 The guy survived falling from a high mountain and later, an explosion knocking him like 5 cities over and being buried for 2 months without food, I think he can handle a few 3rd degree burns. Now, realistically, he probably could. I mean, a real volcano would set a person on fire just by being within a few miles of it and he was literally fighting his half-devil son inside one, barefooted on molten rock (which would literally turn your legs into stubs) for at least 10 minutes. He really might be able to survive being thrown in lava.
Didn't Heihachi collect geta slippers or something? I'd say that runs in the family, but seeing how Jinpachi is a fan of the "no shoes, no shirt" I'm not so sure about that
Kids don't know where that comes from.... Kazuya collecting sneakers was listed as his hobby in his bio in Tekken's 1 user manual because in PS1 days games came with a little book.
I remember reading that back in the day when my dad first introduced me to Tekken I thought that was 100% a joke until I'm in my late teens and I find out this is Cannon 😂
"They all thought that I'm here to conquer the world. And they all FELL for it, hook, line and sinker! All I ever wanted is just to collect all the sneakers in the world."
I feel as though all those sneakers are from people unlucky enough to cross his path wearing some of the cleanest pairs Kazuya has seen. And then he beats them up, takes the pairs home, do some shoe polishing, and stored them in his sneaker vault.
It's kinda strange to hear Kazuya sound like he's just genuinely enjoying himself without any hint of the evil demeanor. It would be hilarious if characters got both actual serious endings and joke endings, something akin to blazblue's gag reels.
It all makes so much sense now. The tekken force member in the tekken 4 intro who threw that grenade into that room was actually a room full of all kazuyas sneakers and he just finally made a new room
Tekken 7 was severely underbudget comparing to other Tekken (due to Tag2 sales performing poorly), so yeah, it was more a result of resources than creative decisions.
What are you saying? This is just like tekken 7 characters episode. In tekken 8 these endings are called "what if", so they re non canon and the only canon story will be the story mode... so we have the same we had on tekken 7 but improved and with a lot more budget.
Now I can't take Kazuya seriously anymore. The fact that Kazuya is saying "I will get everything!" while walking around his collection of sneakers makes me chuckle. Heihachi would be proud.
As silly as this looks (I know there's quite a number of people that are tired of more the sillier things in this series lately), it's nice to see Kazuya happy. So I already like this a lot.
@kieraniskoolBut how do we know that they're arcade endings? Aside from the ending quality (which looks much better), we could get the same 1 fight bs like Tekken 7, which I don't hope.
@@bigbosssnakecorn8834 Yeah, Lee has been acting up all 8 games because Kazuya and Heihachi kept stealing his shoes when he was a kid. As a matter of fact, Heihachi threw Kazuya down the ravine because Kazuya put some mud on his new Jordans. This is canon btw ask Harada.
Imagine kazuya hiring a hitman against someone / waging a war against a country because someone won't sell them their limited edition shoes that he missed out on...
This made me laugh, but Knowing Kazuya, he would just find out where they live,go to their house in person, and make them run their shoes right at their front door 😂
"And then finally, NBA will battle it out each other in the King of Iron Hoop Tournament. My plan for the ultimate sneaker collection will come true!" -Kazuya Mishima
When that still text came up asking about his hobbies I was thinking to myself in real time "There's no way that they do a callback to the Tekken 1 manual and make him have a giant ass shoe collecti - OH MY FUCKING GOD THEY DID"
I already had reasons to pre-order Tekken 8, these sorts of small fanservice details, Tekken Ball and EVERY SINGLE OST (up to now) Just, sold me, so happy to see the franchise trying more than what the entirety of Tekken 7 ever did
